Why Jumma (Friday) is most prominent day of the week?

Friday is the 6
th
day of the week which has so much importance. This
day has gained so much importance when we compare it with the
other days of the week. There are certain reasons which make it the
most prominent day of the week. These reasons can be called the merits
of that great day. These merits are:-

Allah Almighty accepted the prayer of Hazrat Adam and forgave him.
Hazrat Adan was sent to earth.
Hazrat Adam died on Friday.
On Friday there is moment in whole day when the time of the accepting of Dua comes.
Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) appeared in the womb of mother this day.
On Friday Allah Almighty freed 60,000 souls from the hell.
Muslims who dies on the night of the day of the Friday Allah Almighty saves them from
graves punishment.
On Friday the fire of the hell is not being increased.

Abu Hurayra and Abu Hudayfha narrated a Hadith related to the day of Jumma that:-

The Holy Prophet said that: - It was the day of Friday from which Allah diverted those who
were before us, For the Jews (the day set aside for prayer) was Saturday, and for the Christians it
was Sunday. And Allah turned towards us and guided us to Friday (as the day of Remembrance
and Prayer) for us. In fact, He (Allah) made Friday, Saturday and Sunday (as days of prayer). In
this order would they (Jews and Christians) come after us on the Day of Resurrection. We are the
last of (the Ummah) among the people in this world and the first among the created to be judged
on the Day of Resurrection. (Sahi Muslim: 1862)
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "The best day on which the sun rises is
Friday. (On Friday) Adam was created, and on that day he entered Paradise, and on that day he
was expelled from Paradise. And the Hour will come to pass on Friday."

The Prayer of the Jummah is the prayer of congregational which is being offered by Muslim men
and Muslim women.

The acts which should be done on Friday
Do recite Surah E Aalah on that day. Beloved prophet (PBUH) recite in on Friday
evening.
Do recite Surah E kehf on Friday. The person who will recite this Surah his whole sins
which he has committed last week will be forgiven.
Do recite Sura E Dukhan. The person who will recite this Surah 70,000 angles will pray
for him. All the sins of that man will be forgiven by Allah Almighty
Do recite Surah E Jumma.


Sunnahs of Jumma

Taking bath.
Wearing clean clothes.
Cutting the nails.
Using perfume.
Using Surma.
Using Miswak.
Reciting Sura E Kehf.
Reciting Darood E Pak specially in the
middle of the Asar and Maghrib prayer.


O Allah! Help us to follow the Sunnahs of Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and
give is strength to gain the blessings of this prominent holy day which is dearest to Hazrat
Muhammad (PBUH). Amen
