The course is intended for students who are interested in employing their language skills
in business contexts and to make students acquainted with the format, features and
related translation methods and techniques in translating commercial texts. Discussion of
principles and purpose of translation will be accompanied by Chinese/English and
English/Chinese translation exercises to deelop theoretical and practical understanding.

The theoretical concepts and pragmatic of business translation are
basically introduced by lectures, which directly contribute to the
