What is The Color Run?

The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5K on
the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates
healthiness, happiness and individuality.
While its less about beating your best time and
more about having the time of your life, The Color
Run is a 5-kilometer, untimed race in which thou-
sands of runners are doused from head to toe in
different colors at each kilometer. With only two
rules, the idea is easy to follow:
1. Wear white at the starting line
2. Finish plastered in color.
The fun continues after the race with a Finish
Festival that includes music, dancing and massive
color throws, which create millions of vivid color
combinations.
Now the single largest event series in the U.S., The
Color Run has exploded since its debut event and
has more than tripled its growth, hosting more
than 170 events in more than 30 countries in 2013.
Beneting Rett Syndrome
Money raised at Sundays run went to the Interna-
tional Rett Syndrome Foundation. Rett Syndrome
causes problems in the brain functions that are re-
sponsible for cognitive, sensory, emotional, motor
and autonomic function. The condition is normally
found in girls, rarely in boys, during infancy.

THE HAPPIEST 5K ON THE PLANET
Thousands take part in the Color Run, a 5K
run/walk where the participants are covered
with colorful powder while on the race course,
on Sunday in Hershey. Participants gathered in
front of the stage to throw colored powder into
the air after nishing the race.
