Dear Shalfleet Parish Council, Isle of Wight,
1. You advertised a Casual Vacancy on 17th July 2014. Please tell
me how this vacancy came about (e.g. resignation) and which
Councillor is leaving the Parish Council.
2. Please confirm the situation regarding the Clerk. Is the
existing Clerk leaving the Parish Council or has she left? If
leaving, how and when will a new Clerk be appointed?
3. Please state the most up to date list of Councillors, noting any
who have resigned their office. Please also state the names of the
Chair and Vice-Chair.

Dear Mr Lemain,
I don't feel this is a freedom of information request, more a question/query which I or any of
the councillors can answer and does not require any research/papers etc.
I have been on annual but I am in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
morning this week if you wish to give me a call.
I have resigned as clerk and we have advertised for a new clerk in the County Press, the
closing date for applications was on Monday.
Cllr Jane Jacobs resigned from her position as councillor and her position is the one
advertised.
On Friday two other councillors resigned, Cllr John Whitney and Cllr Bill Burt.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Can you confirm which vacancies you are referring. If it is the two councillors I only work on
