These are furnished with some
of the greatest treasures from
the Royal Collection paintings
by Rembrandt, Rubens and

This summer marks the 60th anniversary of the
Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
To celebrate this anniversary, a special exhibition
at Buckingham Palace recreates the atmosphere
and pageantry of 2 June 1953.
The Queens Coronation 1953
brings together an unprecedented
array of the dress, uniform, robes
and historic items used on the
day. The display includes
The Queens white satin
Coronation Dress, purple
silk-velvet Robe and a number
of jewels worn by Her Majesty
on Coronation Day, including
the Diamond Diadem and
the diamond Coronation
Necklace and Earrings, made
for Queen Victoria in 1858.
