The max 232 integrated circuit changes the ttl levels to the ones to the rs-232 standard
when a transmission is made, and changes the rs-232 levels to ttl when a reception is
available.
U12 consists of four bi-direction keys. U12a key permits the transmission of data coming
from the bar code scanner. U12 key permits the transmission coming from the pc. U12b
permits the reception of data transmission coming from the bar code scanner. U12 key
permits the reception of data coming from the pc.
U12a and u12b keys of the transmission and reception of data from the bar code scanner
are enabled by means of uc. U12c and u12d keys of the data transmission and reception
from the pc are enabled by means of uc.
The bi-direction keys data transmission is received by uc (rx). The bi-direction keys data
reception is transmitted by uc (tx)

Bar Code Scanner, formed to 9600 baudios, 8 data bit, 1 stop bit and without parity.
Connected to the AE500A Plug DB9 Connector
Steps of the trial:
1. Connect the bar code scanner to AE500A and have a set of different codes handy
(2,3,4,5 are enough) to be able to fulfill the trial
2. Connect the AE500A to the PC through the Cable modem null as it was previously
described.
3. Perform the terminal software you have in the PC; It should be formed as it was
previously described
4. Set option: DATA BASE ENABLED
5. Perform in AE500A the option: CONNECTION RS-232. Automatically send to
series port the stream: AE500A0000 + Enter. Where 0000 is the series number in
the absence of the right one.
6. Enter the machine new series number with the control: CXXXX*, where XXXX
belongs to the 4 digits of such series number.
7. Verify it has been correctly recorded with A* control.
8. Escape from option CONNECTION-232, using X* control from the PC.
9. Fulfill a complete extraction process, entering when you finish it, an identification
code and permit the recording of it in memory.
10.Enter option: CONNECTION RS-232 again.
33
11.Perform G* control from terminal. With it, 10 equal registers to the last fulfilled
process, will be recorded in EEPROM memory. The copies from this one, are
obtained from RAM memory; for this reason it should be understood that to fulfill
this trial in a satisfactory way, the machine can not be turned off between step 9 and
