Topic : Save Water.
Focused Skill : Listening and speaking
Integrated Skill : Reading
Content Standards : 1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling,
pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak
confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and
intonation.
1.3 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to
understand and respond to oral texts in a variety of
contexts
Learning Standards : 1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance.
1.3.1 Able to listen to and demonstrate understanding of oral texts by:
a) answering simple Wh-Questions

2.2.1 Able to read and apply word recognition and word attack
skills by:
a) matching words with spoken words.
Language Focus : Vocabulary (useful, tap, basin, pail, save)
Behavioral Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
i) fill in at least 4 out of 5 blanks correctly by listening to the text the teacher
read.
ii) discuss and choose the 3 most suitable ways out of 4 to help save water in
the scenario given.
Previous knowledge : Pupils know about the water shortage issue in the
country.

4. Teacher asks pupils to exchange their task sheets with
their friends and check their answers. Those who
managed to get everything correct will be rewarded with
a stamp in their stamp card.
