The Method Statement is applicable to all EA, KEA, TEA & OA Ductwork at service Floors and isers onl! and

*&+ All materials used must have an approved material submittal&
*&* All Ductwork shall be installed as per approved construction drawin(s and the attached schedule o" Duct

*&, #heck all openin(s in slab or walls are provided b! Main #ontractor&
*&- All Ductwork shall be installed in a neat and tid! "ashion&

,&+&+ Ductwork (enerall! will be "abricated o"" site there"ore check that si.e and len(th o" ductwork supplied
con"orms with the site re)uirements&
,&+&* Determine the position o" the ductwork supports and mark out on the concrete, makin( allowance "or
insulation thickness and claddin( where applicable& Drill the holes in the concrete "or the anchor "i/in(s
usin( the appropriate si.e drill as recommended b! the anchor0"i/in( manu"acturer&
,&+&, Fi/ supports in position ensurin( that all "i/in(s are secure&
,&+&- Ensure there are no obstructions in the ductwork&
,&+&1 The ductwork will be li"ted manuall! into the supports and ali(ned with the precedin( len(th o" installed
ductwork, ensurin( that all levels and dimensions are correct as per the approved construction drawin(s&
O""sets due to site coordination re)uirements ma! be permitted and shall be indicated on as0"itted drawin(s
,&+&2 The approved ductwork sealant will be applied to the 3oints and usin( the approved duct "astenin(s 4bolts
and nuts, mechanicall! closed rivets etc&5 the 3oint will be made airti(ht& An! e/cess sealant will be
removed and the 3oint le"t in a clean and tid! "ashion&
,&+&6 7ardwood inserts will be installed as necessar!&
,&+&8 Open ductwork ends to be temporaril! sealed be"ore leavin( the work"orce each da!&
,&+&9 Testin( all 3oints ph!sicall! "or the Sealant and nut & bolts&
,&+&+: ;nsulation to be done as per approved method statement&
,&+&++ ;nspection re)uest will be (iven "or consultant<s approval o" duct installation&
