A Nice Article By Swami Vivekananda...............

I once had a friend who grew to be very close to me.
Once when we were sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, she
lled the palm of her hand with some water and held it
before me, and said this!
"#o$ see this water caref$lly contained on my hand% It symboli&es
'ove."
(his was how I saw it!
As long as yo$ keep yo$r hand caringly open and allow it to
remain there, it will always be there. )owever, if yo$ attempt to
close yo$r ngers ro$nd it and try to posses it,
it will spill thro$gh the rst cracks it nds
(his is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet
love...they try to posses it, they demand, they e*pect... and +$st like
the water spilling o$t of yo$r hand, love will retrieve from yo$. ,or
love is meant to be free, yo$ cannot change its nat$re. If there are
people yo$ love, allow them to be free beings.
-ive and don.t e*pect. Advise, b$t don.t order.
Ask, b$t never demand.
It might so$nd simple, b$t it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to
tr$ly practice. It is the secret to tr$e love. (o tr$ly practice it, yo$
m$st sincerely feel no e*pectations from those who yo$ love, and
yet an Unconditional caring.

(he st$dent went to the corn eld, this time he is caref$l not to
repeat the previo$s mistake, when he reach the middle of the eld,
he
has picked one medi$m corn that he feel satised, and came back
to the
teacher.
(he teacher told him, this time yo$ bring back a corn.... yo$ look for
one that is +$st nice, and yo$ have faith and believe this is the best
one yo$ get.... this is marriage
Be co$rteo$s to all , b$t intimate with few , and let those few be well

6.Hospital Window
(wo men, both serio$sly ill, occ$pied the same hospital room .
One man was allowed to sit $p in his bed for an ho$r each afternoon
to help drain the 2$id from his l$ngs.
)is bed was ne*t to the room.s only window.
(he other man had to spend all his time 2at on his back.

(he men talked for ho$rs on end. (hey spoke of their wives and
families, their homes, their +obs, their involvement in the military
service, where they had been on vacation.
7very afternoon when the man in the bed by the window co$ld sit
$p, he wo$ld pass the time by describing to his roommate all the
things he co$ld see o$tside the window.
(he man in the other bed began to live for those one ho$r periods
where his world wo$ld be broadened and enlivened by all the
activity and color of the world o$tside.
(he window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. 4$cks and swans
played on the water hile children sailed their model boats. #o$ng
lovers walked arm in arm amidst 2owers of every color and a ne
view of the city skyline co$ld be seen in the distance.
As the man by the window described all this in e*E$isite detail, the
man on the other side of the room wo$ld close his eyes and imagine
the pict$resE$e scene .
One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade
passing by.
Altho$gh the other man co$ldn.t hear the band 3 he co$ld see it. In
his mind.s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with
descriptive words.
4ays and weeks passed.
One morning, the day n$rse arrived to bring water for their baths
only to nd the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had
died peacef$lly in his sleep. She was saddened and called the
hospital attendants to take the body away.
As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he co$ld
be moved ne*t to the window . (he n$rse was happy to make the
switch, and after making s$re he was comfortable, she left him
alone.
Slowly, painf$lly, he propped himself $p on one elbow to take his
rst look at the real world o$tside. )e strained to slowly t$rn to look
o$t the window beside the bed.
It faced a blank wall.
(he man asked the n$rse what co$ld have compelled his deceased
roommate who had described s$ch wonderf$l things o$tside this
window.
(he n$rse responded that the man was blind and co$ld not even see
the wall.
She said, "?erhaps he +$st wanted to enco$rage yo$ ."
7pilog$e!
(here is tremendo$s happiness in making others happy, despite o$r
own sit$ations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, b$t happiness when shared, is
do$bled.
If yo$ want to feel rich, +$st co$nt all the things yo$ have that
money can.t b$y.

'ong ago in a small, far away village, there was place known as the

A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit.
5hen he arrived, he bo$nced happily $p the stairs to the doorway of
the ho$se.
)e looked thro$gh the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail
wagging as fast as it co$ld. (o his great s$rprise, he fo$nd himself
staring at 9::: other happy little dogs with their tails wagging +$st
as fast as his. )e smiled a great smile, and was answered with 9:::
great smiles +$st as warm and friendly. As he left the )o$se, he
tho$ght to himself, " (his is a wonderf$l place. I will come back and
visit it often."
In this same village, another little dog, who was not E$ite as happy
as the rst one, decided to visit the ho$se. )e slowly climbed the
stairs and h$ng his head low as he looked into the door.
5hen he saw the 9::: $nfriendly looking dogs staring back at him,
he growled at them and was horried to see 9::: little dogs
growling back at him. As he left, he tho$ght to himself, "(hat is a
horrible place, and I will never go back there again."
All the faces in the world are mirrors. 5hat kind of re2ections do yo$

(he 6ocoon
A man fo$nd the cocoon of a b$tter2y. One day a small opening
appeared. )e sat and watched the b$tter2y for several ho$rs as it
str$ggled to force its body thro$gh that little hole. (hen it seemed to
stop making any progress.
It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it co$ld and co$ld go no
f$rther. So the man decided to help the b$tter2y.
)e took a pair of scissors and snipped oG the remaining bit of the
cocoon. (he b$tter2y then emerged easily. B$t it had a swollen body
and small, shriveled wings.
(he man contin$ed to watch the b$tter2y beca$se he e*pected
that, at any moment, the wings wo$ld enlarge and e*pand to be
able to s$pport the body, which wo$ld contract in time. Neither
happened@
In fact, the b$tter2y spent the rest of its life crawling aro$nd with a
swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to 2y. 5hat the
man in his kindness and haste did not $nderstand was that the
restricting cocoon and the str$ggle reE$ired for the b$tter2y to get
thro$gh the tiny opening were -od.s way of forcing 2$id from the
body of the b$tter2y into its wings so that it wo$ld be ready for
2ight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes str$ggles are e*actly what we need in o$r life. If -od
allowed $s to go thro$gh o$r life witho$t any obstacles, it wo$ld
cripple $s. 5e wo$ld not be as strong as we co$ld have been. And
we co$ld never 2y. So have a nice day...and str$ggle a little@
