Earthquake

An earthquake happens when the earth moves.

Earthquakes can be very low and you can’t feel them.

They can also be very strong and cause objects to


fall and houses to collapse!

An earthquake in the sea is called a TSUNAMI.

You can measure an earthquake with the Richter


scale of a seismograph.

The Richter scale goes from magnitude 0 (no earthquake) to magnitude 9 (very
big earthquake).
