Use:
Use the Present Continuous to express the idea that something is happening at this
moment. It can also be used to show that something is not happening now.
Examples:
A: What are you wearing?
B: I’m wearing blue jeans and a white blouse.

Affirmative Negative Question

How do we spell the Present Continuous Tense?

Basic rule Just add -ing to the base verb:

work → working

play → playing

Exception If the base verb ends in consonant + vowel + consonant, double the last
letter:

stop → Stopping getting swimming

run → running

begin → beginning

Exception If the base verb ends in -ie, change the -ie to y:

lie → Lying tie – tying

die → dying

Exception If the base verb ends in consonant + vowel + e, omit the e:

come → Coming dance -dancing
