INTRODUCTION
The National Council of Educational Research and
Training (NCERT, Hindi:

central and state go$ern%ents on acade%ic %atters related
to school education+ It &as esta!lished in ,-.,+

&hich deart%ents of the National Institute of Education
(NIE), Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Central
Institute of 0ocational Education (CI0E) and offices of
the 1ield )d$isers in the states are engaged in acti$ities+
(e$eral rogra%%es are organised in rural and !ac2&ard
areas to reach out to functionaries in these areas+
It acts as the (ecretariat of the National De$elo%ent
#rou (ND#) for Educational Inno$ations+ The NCERT
has !een offering training facilities, usuall" through
attach%ent rogra%%es and articiation in &or2shos,
to education &or2ers of other countries+ The NCERT
u!lishes te/t!oo2s for school su!3ects fro% Classes I to
4II+ NCERT u!lishes !oo2s that are used in go$ern%ent
and ri$ate schools across India that follo& the C5(E
curriculu%+

countries in the field of school education

colla!oration &ith the international organizations, $isiting
foreign delegations and offers $arious training facilities to
educational ersonnel fro% de$eloing countries+ The
