Wedding Crashers on the Run
Over the weekend three men dressed in suits invaded a wedding party. The suspects
arrived in suits, interacted with guests, took photos, and consumed beverages. The
manager of the establishment attempted to detain the crashers but was thrown to
the ground as the three men fled the scene. The individuals are facing charges of
strong-armed robbery. The investigation is ongoing and police are asking for any
information pertaining to the suspects.

Asbury park is poised to make a comeback.
Several new businesses are poised to open in the Downtown Asbury Park district.
The restaurant community has become a key factor in the development of the area.
The businesses are the first steps in the evolution of Asbury Park as a destination. In
addition to the incoming businesses several existing establishments are reinventing
themselves.

A Middletown man has been accused of killing his wife with a frying pan.

Patrick Allen of Middletown is currently under investigation for the suspected
murder of his wife. Allegedly, Allen beat her over the head with a frying pan then
strangled her to death. Allen, 47, was facing financial difficulties and was in danger
of loosing his home. Allen attempted to hide his struggles from his wife by
intercepting mail before it was delivered and asking his debt collector to withhold
information from his wife.
On November 18
th
, 2011 Allen called 9-1-1 emergency, explaining that his wife had
been beaten and was foaming at the mouth as if she had been strangled. According
to authorities Kimberly Allen, 44, was found dead on the floor of the kitchen with
her husband kneeling beside her. The tables were overturned and blood was
splattered on the wall. DNA tests revealed Allens genetic signature under his wifes
fingernails.
Allen is currently under investigation and is being held for $1 million bail.

In National News

Students March out of class in protest.

On September 23
rd
hundreds of students walked out of class in response to a
proposal to modify history curriculum to promote citizenship, patriotism, and
respect for authority. Students were upset, feeling that the new curriculum would
censor their education. The protest was organized by word of mouth and social
media outlets.
The school board proposal that incited the protest aimed to present positive aspects
of the nation and its heritage, promoting citizenship, patriotism, and essentials. The
proposal has been voted on but put on hold.
Tension has arisen recently in Texas over high school has been rising recently.
Participating students were not punished by the school district.

In Sports

An exciting week of preseason Hockey
The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Colorado Avalanche in back to back split squad
games. Half of the Ducks roster stayed at Honda center in California to face the
Avalanche while the remainders of the roster traveled to Colorado. The Ducks won
the game in Colorado 5-2 and the one in Anaheim 4-0. On Tuesday night the Ducks
rookie players were defeated 4-0 by the Arizona Coyotes.

In New York the New Jersey pulled ahead of the New York Rangers managing a 5-4
win. The Devils will next face the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.
