Instruction Discipline EDS

1 Objective of EDS
The purpose of EDS is to create an overview of the project status and progress. This Excel
application is based on deliverables, their status and spent engineering hours. Preferably a
planning, or else the activity relation schedule, must be used to monitor if the correct actions are
started and finished in time.

2 Results
Externally
- Discipline document list; Documents List (ext.)

Internally
- Discipline document list including status; Documents progress list (int.)
- Discipline activity list including status and earned hours; Activity progress list (int.)


3 Work description
3.1 Required data
- All discipline documents
- Budget per document
- Status per document
- Percentage progress for all possible status

3.2 What to do
Enter all documents with Tebodin document number, and budget in the Documents sheet.
General note: all document numbers must have 7 digits e.i. 1101001. No other format is possible.

Action in Documents sheet:
-
Calculate
Runs the visual basic program, which enters the formulas and summarises to
activity level.

Action in Commands sheet:
- insert project info Opens pup-up screen to enter general project data and revision.
- Sort on Tebodin documents number or client document by clicking buttons

4 Who to give
EDS Discipline file must be given to the project controller / engineering manager / project
manager. This person combines all discipline files. The result is the overall EDS that
contains total project status and progress.
