SYSTEM 340 DATA SHEET
VCE represents the next evolution of ITone focused on the next-generation data center and the future of cloud computing. VCE seeks to eliminate the challenges that consume todays data center resources. VCE designs and delivers Vblock Systems, which seamlessly integrate leading compute, network, storage, virtualization and system management technologies. Vblock System 340 is an enterprise-class and service provider converged infrastructure. It is engineered, manufactured, and delivered as one product. Every system is pre-configured for optimal application performance. VCE Systems Management with VCE Vision Intelligent Operations drives even greater automation, flexibility and simplicity. With every new hardware and/or software release, VCE issues a Release Certification Matrix (RCM) to ensure system-wide interoperability. For support, VCE Support provides a single source of contact and accountability. The Vblock System 340 is an optimized, flexible, efficient, protected and secure converged infrastructure. It can deliver up to 2 times greater capacity and 4 times greater performance, delivering uniquely differentiated value for our customers. Expert VCE engineers ensure that every Vblock 340 is optimally sized. With its modular architecture, the Vblock 340 provides for a simplified and dynamic scale-up of compute, network and storage resources. All Vblock systems components are fully redundant, with organized physical builds, cabling and power for optimum energy efficiency and reliability. VCE also provides a complete suite of data protection solutions for every customers back-up, recovery and workload mobility requirements. Base configurations and scaling For each of the Vblock Systems, there is a base configuration, which is a minimum set of compute and storage components, as well as fixed network resources. These components are integrated within one or more 19-inch 42U cabinets:
