Microwave System Design for BTS Connectivity

This document discusses the design of a microwave system for cellular telephony. It describes how a mobile switching center handles mobility management, voice switching between base stations, and handovers between networks. A base station controller communicates with mobile terminals, allocates voice channels, and handles paging and handovers under a mobile switching center. It provides examples of the locations of a mobile switching center in Taguig City and a base station controller in Lipa City, including their elevations, longitudes, and latitudes.

Microwave System Design

Microwave transmission refers to the technology of transmitting information or energy by the use
of electromagnetic waves whose wavelengths are conveniently measured in small numbers of centimetre;
these are called microwaves. This part of the radio spectrum ranges across frequencies of roughly
1.0 gigahertz (!z" to #0 !z. These correspond to wavelengths from #0 centimetres down to 1.0 cm.
