THE 2009 PERFORMANCES OF “HIS STORY” are now “History,” THIS COMING SUNDAY NIGHT we have a wonderful F.R.E.E.D.
a wonderful F.R.E.E.D. 12 Step Addiction Support Group will meet
but the results of the performance are eternal. A total of 17 decisions
were made for the Lord Jesus Christ. Sometimes it’s hard to tell exactly
what a person intends when they fill out the card because they check
several boxes. However, the best I can tell is that there were 8 first time
salvations and 9 recommitments to the Lord. Can you say
“HALLELUJAH!” Because of all the hard work and efforts of so many
of our people, others are now ready to meet the Lord when He comes! I’d
like to say “Thank you” to Todd and Vickie Porter, who have taken this
program and run with it, making it what it is today. To all those who have
faithfully helped over the last number of weeks, please know that we
appreciate and love you. I know it takes many man-hours to accomplish
this, and without you, it would not be possible. Please know that the Lord
will rightly reward you for all you do for His Kingdom’s work. THANK
YOU ! ! !
THIS COMING SUNDAY MORNING our Children’s Dept. will be
presenting their Annual Christmas Program. There will be a Baby Parade,
a presentation by our smaller children, and then the play entitled “The
First Day of Christmas” by the older ones . You will not want to miss
this. We need to support our children and our fine staff of workers. The
service begins immediately after Sunday School at 10:30 A.M. By the
way, I’ve been missing some of you in Sunday School, which is such a
wonderful time to get an in-depth study of the Word of God. It is also a
wonderful time to get plugged into a smaller setting of people that you can
get to know and claim as friends. Don’t let anything keep you from being
in Sunday School at 9:45 A.M. this coming Sunday morning. Don’t know
where to go??? Just ask one of our Greeters or Ushers. They will be
happy to direct you to what we have available for your age group and
where that class meets.

Christmas Tree over in the CLC building at 6:00 P.M. We
don’t have many opportunities for our church family to just
enjoy each other’s company around the table or group of
chairs. So, Sunday night we are asking you to bring finger
foods, desserts, and something to drink with you as you come
to church. We’d like to have a nice, enjoyable time of food,
fun, fellowship, and remembering the birth of our Lord. We
have several things planned for your enjoyment. The Kids of
Faith drama team will do a new drama for us, A.C.T.S.
Student Ministries may have a skit for us as well, and finally,
Fire Chief Steve Quinn will be sharing with us several
Christmas musical selections. I heard there may be another
special visitor showing up as well !
WE WILL ALSO BE COLLECTING canned goods that
night to bless the Woodruff Area Soup Kitchen (WASP), so
bring a canned good or nonperishable item with you. Your
donations richly blessed Helping Hands in November. Let’s
show them how much T.H.A.T. church cares about our
community!

COMMUNITY CANDLE LIGHTING MEMORIAL
SERVICE is Thursday, December 17th, at 7:00 P.M. at First
Baptist Church, sponsored by Healing Heart Bereavement
Support Group. This service is especially for those who have
lost a loved one this past year. Everyone is invited.
Tuesday, December 22nd, at 6:15 P.M. and dismiss early so
this group can enjoy the Candlelight service in the main
sanctuary.
ALL SENIOR ADULTS….Your Christmas party will be Saturday,

December 19 , so plan to leave the church at 5:00 P.M. for “Captain’s
Cap” for a delightful seafood meal. Cost will be less than $12 per person,
and this is a Dutch treat. Sign up sheet is on the bulletin board.
GET YOUR DIPS, cheese ball mix, and flavoring for all your holiday
celebrations from the Ladies’ Ministries office! Priced right ! ! !
THERE WILL BE NO CHOIR PRACTICE Wednesday night. Choir
members should meet in the sanctuary at 7:00 P.M. instead. ALSO, NO
choir practice on Sunday morning due to the Children’s Christmas
program.
