away, turns back) Is your name Eyre miss?

Jane: Yes.

Man: Oh, right this way, your driver awaits.
(both exit)
Narrator: Jane got into the plain-looking vehicle and had a one and a half hour
journey of six miles.
Jane: (sitting down on chair which is suppose to be the car seat) (Gets up and
walks toward door.

Other man: Hi madam. Right this way if you please. (Opens door and ushers her
in.) (both exit thru door and re-enter)

Fairfax: (seated on chair the other side) Oh, how do you do my dear. You must be
cold. Dumb John drives so slow; Its already night.

Jane: Are you Mrs. Fairfax?

FF: Correct, have a seat. Sit tight by this fire. Your hands ought to be numb with
the cold by now.

J: Erm, so when will I get to see the MISS Fairfax?

FF: Im sorry, what?

J: Miss Fairfax? Your daughter?

FF: Oh! The name of your pupil is Miss Varens. Adele Varens. Shes not my
daughter but she is a nice girl. Simply brings life to this household. Now then,
You must be rather tired. Let me show you your room and well continue this
tomorrow.
(Both exit)

Narrator: The next morning.

J: (yawn) (Looks around) What a beautiful day.

FF: (enter) Woah. Youre an early riser. So how do you like Thornfield.

J: Its a lovely, lovely place you own.
FF: What? No no, I dont own Thornfield, Im merely the housekeeper. Mr.
Rochester owns the place. Havent you heard of him?

J: No I have not I guess.

FF: Adele is his ward. He requested me to find her a governess. Here she comes.
Morning Miss Adele.

(J talkin to AD in background)
Narrator: Jane talks to Adele and finds out her mother was a singer and a dancer.
The mother had also thought Adele poetry and singing, making Adele a a great
performer. Jane later goes to talk to Mrs. Fairfax. (J exits and reenters. FF enters
frm other side.)

J: How do you manage to keep all these rooms spotless Mrs.?

FF: Its the motivation Jane. Eventhough, Mr. Rochesters visits are rare they can
be at any time.

J: What kind of a man is he Mrs Fairfax? Is he liked? Maybe a exciting
personality? Hyper? Is he weird? Perculiar perhaps?

FF: Well, he does not love to be spoken of so Id keep it as he is an eccentric man
whose family has a history of extreme and violent behavior.

J: Hmm (period) Do servants sleep in these rooms?

FF: Nope, these are all empty. If there were a ghost he in Thornfield, it would be
here.

J: Is there one really?! (Worried)

(LOUD NOISE)

J: What was that?! (Scared)

FF: It was probably a servant. GRACE!

Grace: Yes? (drunk-ish)

FF: Too. Much. Noise. Go!

Narrator: Janes career at Thornfield was smooth sailing and she was quite
satisfied with her decision to come here.

Jane: (holding diary) Thornfield is simply amazing. I am absolutely satisfied with
the environment and setting here. Everything is just so beautiful. And my
student-

Ad: Hey Miss Eyre! Can you pleaaseeeeee sit with me later.

Jane: Erm..

Ad: PLEASEEEEE.

Jane: Fine..
(A exits)
Jane: Well, shes lively but a little spoiled. But for some reason no matter how
well things are going, something doesnt feel quite right. Its times like where I
come to the third floor and just recollect.
(walks back and forth)
(J exits)

Narrator: Jane frequently came up to the attic to recollect her old memories and
bring herself together. Many days had passed and one faithful evening..

Jane: (Sitting) Ahh, watching the moon rise is just so enchanting Makes me
think about the tales good ol Bessie used to tell about the spirits. What was it
called? Gytrash. Where they would disquise themselves as either a dog, a mule or
a horse Wait. Whats that? (Points to dog)

Roch: (Riding fake horse) (Passes Jane and gives a wave, and slips moments
later)

Jane: Oh no! Can I help you sir?

R: (Gets up and falls)

J: Can I help?

R: Nah (falls again.)

J: Helps him up and leans him to wall

R: I only have some sprains.

J: I can bring you to Thornfield. Mr Rochester owns it.
R: You dont know Mr. Rochester huh?

J: No, sir. I have not seen him.

R: Nevermind that then. Just help me up here.
(both exit)

Narrator: Jane hadnt the slightest clue that the man by the forest that she helped
was Mr. Rochester. All she knew was she had helped the man and now she was
back off to Thornfield.

Jane: Ahh, Im back. (takes a seat) I wonder who that man was. (looks down sees
same dog.) OMG. Its the same dog. Where did he come from?

Servant: Hello ms. Eyre. The dog came with its owner Mr. Rochester. Mrs. Fairfax
and Adele are with him. He just arrived and is injured.

Jane: No way.

Servant: Exactly, miss. There was no way for horse so it fell and he is injured.

(exits)

R: I hear you have beautiful drawings Jane. (drops cloth) Oh no I dropped the
cloth. Help me pick it up will you? And get me the drawings?

Narrator: That was pretty much how tea went. Later that day

Jane: Oh my god mrs. Fairfax, Mr. Rochester is so abrupt.

FF: Now now, Jane, Dont judge a man without knowledge of his past.

Jane: What about his past Mrs?

FF: Family issues Ms. Eyre.

J: But he doesnt have family.

FF: He had lost his elder brother a few years back. Thornfield initially belonged
to his brother. It was only his recently. Only nine years now. Hes never stayed
