The best thing about the
UA Global Summit was the
opportunity to meet the
other winners and highly
commended students from all
over the world, and across all
the disciplines. It was a really
challenging and empowering
three days!
Liam Swanson, University of Pitsburgh, Highly Commended 2013
The City of Dublin a city steeped in
history and associated with such scholars,
academics and visionaries as Jonathan
Swif, Earnest Walton, Constance
Markiewicz, Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker and
Mary Robinson is our venue over the
course of the Summit. We will host the
worlds top students in some of Dublins
most historic and beautfully stunning
buildings around the city, including City
Hall, Christchurch Cathedral, Iveagh House
and Farmleigh House.
Te Colloquium
As part of the UA Global Summit, we host The Colloquium, designed
to help the winners and highly commended students realise their
individual potental and their collectve potental as a group to tackle
some of the worlds biggest issues. The Colloquium encourages a
culture of inter-disciplinary co-operaton among our winners, as well
as a sense of responsible leadership to empower them to believe
that they can and will be at the forefront of their respectve felds in
years to come. This years speakers include a flm-producer-turned-
educator, a choreographer, an entrepreneur, a scientst and a politcal
lawyer. This range of speakers is intended to refect the diversity of
backgrounds and interests that our atendees will have.
Yannick Weiler, Trinity College Dublin, Highly Commended 2013
The wonderful thing about the UA
Global Summit is that you build a
fantastc network of eclectc people
who are passionate, hardworking and
excited for what the future holds. The
2012 partcipants stay in contact and
meet up from tme to tme.
We do our best work at the
edges of our felds, and the
intersectons of diferent felds.
The diferent angles diferent
disciplines bring to the same
problem is tremendously
interestng. The UA Global
Summit was ideal for this.
