Pumps - Design
Pumps can be specified in two ways:
If inlet and outlet streams connected to a pump are fully specified, then nothing needs
to be specified in the pump unit operation
If outlet pressure is not specified, then a pressure differential across the pump, or a
duty must be specified

Like pumps, heaters and coolers can be specified in two ways
If both the inlet and outlet streams are fully specified, then nothing needs to be
specified in the pump unit operation
If the outlet stream is underspecified, then the heater or cooler can be solved by
specifying the pressure differential and/or the duty
