SECTION 4: EVIDENCE THAT OTHER FUNDING AVENUES HAVE BEEN EXPLORED

The main criterion on which this section is judged is:

There must be evidence that other avenues of funding have been or are being sought.

To support your evidence, we would recommend that you list funding sources, amounts applied for
and submission dates. You should clearly indicate whether funding has been secured, and in this case
state the amount received. If an application is pending or yet to be submitted, please indicate the
likelihood you feel of success. We do not ask to see a full business plan for any funding bids as we
recognise that some projects are open-ended: the purpose of this question is to allow you, alongside
the budget in section 3, to demonstrate a commitment to sound financial management.

To support your evidence, we might suggest that you describe any previous experiences or relevant
education. If you are working as part of a team, you might wish to demonstrate that the range of
skills required are covered by the group as a whole. If there are any significant gaps in your
knowledge or skills, you can indicate how you will close these in order to achieve your goal.

The decisions of the panel are final. Any successful funding bids will be required to enter into a
contract with CUES which will outline the methods by which we will ensure that the funding is
correctly used. These include, but are not limited to: writing a report on the outcomes of activity,
making a short presentation to or dining with our sponsors. This will be fully discussed with you
should your application be successful, and at the same time we will make arrangements for prompt
