Summary: Responsible for consulting with and successfully executing new store and
remodel projects for Ace Hardware retailers in Northern and Central California and

Labor Force Optimization team (Ace Hardware Jan. 2007 to Feb. 2008)
Responsible for the development, pilot testing and implementation of the LFO/Customer
First! program. Labor Force Optimization provides retailers and their organizations with
operational efficiencies and customer service skills that will allow them to be more profitable
and master the mission of Ace Hardware which is to be the most helpful hardware stores on
the planet! Areas of concentration are (1) The Customer Experience, (2) Lean Operations,
and (3) Back Office Procedures. In partnership with McKinsey & Co. we developed training
materials and job aids for implementation on a national level, conducted pilot studies and
trained all field staff on the proper implementation of this program at the store level.
Retail Project Management Field Input Team (Ace Hardware Aug. 2009 to Jan. 2011)
Responsible for identifying disconnects and inconsistencies between Project Managers and
across all divisions. Identified fixture shortages in the RSCs needed to support the V21 loan
program resulting in the addition of $875,000 in store fixtures.
