Why English Become an International Language?

Indonesia as an archipelagic country has different cultures in

each region. The culture in Kalimantan is different from culture in
Java. So does culture in Java and other region in Indonesia. It shows
that Indonesia has many kinds of culture. Not just culture that
different but also language. Indonesia has thousands of language.
Each ethnic has a language that different from another ethnic. There
are many ethnic in Indonesia and they dont just live with people
from same ethnic. They live together with people that have different
ethnic with them too. But, theres a big problem. They come from
different region and ethnic so they must have different culture and
language. Thats why they cant communicate well. The difference of
language make them cant communicate to other. It can make a
misunderstanding and it will make a new problem. Fortunately,
theres a way to solve this problem. The government says that all
Indonesian must use Bahasa in their daily as main language. It makes
people that come from different region and ethnic can communicate
to each other with Bahasa.

There are many countries all over the world that have same
problem. They have many ethnic with own language in their country.
But, they have a national language to unite the citizens. So, the
citizen can communicate easily. Therefore, we can conclude that we
cant communicate to a person that come from different place and
has different language with us without a language that everyone can
understand. Therefore, world needs a language that make people
from all over the world can communicate easily. The language must
well-known and can be understand by everyone.
The Great Britain is one of big country that has a big role in
the world. They domineering many sectors such as technology, art,
business, education, and more. It makes many countries that want to
have cooperation with them. Because of that, those countries must
know how to speak English well. Therefore, they learn English so
they can cooperate with The Great Britain. The cooperation with
another country mostly uses English too. It is because most of the
country that has a big role in many sectors uses English as the main
language. Like United States. So, it is an important thing to learn
English.
Back to the World War era, The Great Britain colonized many
countries from Europe until Asia. They didnt just colonize and took
advantage from their colony. They also brought their culture and

spread that to the colony country when they colonized a country. It

made their language, English, spread over their colony too. By the
time, English used by their colony as one of the main language they
used in daily. The large amount of the colony that used English made
English can spread easily until to the country that didnt colonize by
The Great Britain. It made many people knew about English since a
long time ago.
English also one of the oldest languages in the world. English
used by British since 8th of century. And until now, English already
used for 13 centuries by people worldwide. That makes many people
more know about English and use it as their language to
communicate with each others. It also makes English has more
vocabulary than other language. English has more than one million
words. The vocabulary also amends so fast. Every hour a new word
will included to the vocabulary. Not just a normal word that we often
use in daily, but also a unique word such as Tweet. The wealthy
vocabulary makes us easy to express something.
The other reason is English easy to learn. It has a simple
sentence and doesnt have many rules. It is easier than Bahasa that
has many rules and grammar. Bahasa also has more complex
sentence. Thats why many people can learn English easily. It doesnt

make people feel frustrated when learn it. Even many of them enjoy
to learning English and mix it with their language in daily.
