Synopsis

The course examines the philosophy, aims, goals and objectives of education; history, sociology and politics of education; culture plural

Psychology of Learning and Instruction

The course examines general psychology, psychology of education, psychology of learning and instruction, classical and operant conditi

Curriculum and Instruction

educational technology, personal computers, digital technologies, administrative and academic software, the use of web and internet in t
visual technologies, traditional audio media, and digital video technology.

Assessment in Education

The course examines the history and types of assessment; reliability and validity of a test; formative, summative, norm- and criterion-ref
outcomes; objective, subjective and oral tests, and observation; grading and interpretation of test scores, and standard scores; and assessm
portfolio, including the areas of language, mathematics, and career development.

Qualitative Research Methods in Education

The course examines qualitative research methodology with respect to philosophy of research and research in education; style of writing
similarities and differences between qualitative and quantitative research; and the design, data collection and analyses, and reporting of q
biographical, phenomenological, grounded-theory, ethnographic and case-study research.

Quantitative Research Methods in Education

The course examines quantitative research methodology with respect to research problem statement, objectives, questions and hypothese
invalidity; research designs, framework and types of variables, research instruments, population and sample, collection of research data;
regression and equality of means and post-hoc analysis.

Educational Leadership and Management

The course examines the organizational behavior in schools, school as a bureaucratic organization and sociopolitical system, professiona
contingency theories, school leadership, motivation and management, conflict and stress, educational change and restructuring; and team
creative thinking.

Management of School Discipline

The course prepares the skills in managing discipline at the organizational level, especially with subordinates and superiors at the school
of individuals in an organization so that they will become important assets in the development of an organization, where self-discipline o
objectives of the vision and mission of the organization.

Curricular and Instructional Leadership

The course examines the appropriate techniques of curriculum management and supervision of teaching and learning process, including

The course will guide students to carry out a research in their area of specialization, focusing on research planning, stages in implementi
