Remembering historic events will be great fun if only you use some amount of ima

gination while studying. Most of us while studying history, say to ourselves (su
bconsciously) that well I am learning history, but this wont remain with me for lo
ng. I will forget it or become confused while answering etc
History can be made interesting. Just make use of the great gift you have ieyour
BRAIN . Your mind has great memory power. You only need to use it properly. One
such technique is imagination. Use imagination and make stories. Select a key wo
rd or title which you are learning and with imagination link maximum datas to th

HISTORY MEMORY TRICKS
Let us take DALHOUSIE.
We have not seen him !!!!!!!
We dont know how he looks like and WE DONT CARE EITHER.
So what can be done is that let us take the name and make it FUNNY.
DALHOUSIE = DAL + HOUSIE = DAL + HOUSE
Now imagine a house made of DAL ( pulses). Is it possible? Well no. But then if
you make ODD stories, your mind remembers well.
You need not imagine a huge house
Just draw a house like the one we used to do during our child hood days

Now imagine that instead of the X AND l used above, it is made of DAL (pulse!!
).
This is our DAL HOUSE OR DALHOUSIE!!!
NOW MAKE A STORY..Imagination is the key
During school holidays you are making some project. It is a DAL HOUSE. You have
made a Dal house on a thermocol sheet. On the left side of the roof you place a
TOY TRAIN and on the right side of the roof your brother places a TOY POST BOX.
While playing you move the train from left side of the roof to right side of the
roof and so hit the POST BOX which falls down. Your brother starts crying.
All of a sudden the doors of your DAL HOUSE opens and a small white ENGLISH MAN
comes out and claps his hands. Suddenly many small english soldiers come and bri
ng with them many HINDU BRIDES AND BRIDEGROOMS who were about to get married in
a temple. Now the Englishman shouts I will conduct the HINDU MARRIAGE instead of
the HINDU PRIEST. People become worried
Then there comes Jhansi ki rani Laxmi Bhai with her sword she ties the english man
, goes inside the house and captures his wife who is a DOCTOR with body full of

LIPSTICK marks.. Rani puts both of them in a huge WOODEN DABBA (BOX) and despat
ch them off to SHIMLA where the weather was too cold and it is snowing. She make
s the Englishman write CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS in the open ground at SHIMLA again to
get a job
The door of the DAL HOUSE closes
HOW IS THE STORY??? YOU MAY THINK IT IS CRAZYALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DONT THINK ANYTHI
NG LOGICALLY. JUST TRY TO IMAGINE THE STORY.

DAL HOUSE ..TRAIN (left roof)POST BOX (right roof).HINDU BRIDE, GROOM, PRIEST, MARRIA
