EXT. SCHOOL. DAY

Scene begins with Rikki. She is walking to the social block,
whilst she is on her phone. Beth is creeping up behind Rikki.

Beth
RAAH
Rikki
(Rikki tries to conceal her phone by holding it to her chest.
She screams in surprise)
Oh my BETH! You scared the crap out of me!
Beth
(Laughing)
You should have seen your face
(Copies Rikkis facial expression)
Rikki
It wasnt funny, I was talking to him
Beth
You dont even know who him is! You shouldnt be talking to
him. Youve never met him its dangerous.
Rikki
Its fine, Im just talking to him online, nothing will come of
it.
Beth
That doesnt matter! Did you know that 42% of online profiles
are operated by people who are not who they say they are? Its
dangerous Rik. Open your eyes.
Rikki
Alright! Get off my case, Josh is coming.

(JOSH enters. Runs over to BETH and RIKKI.)

Happy Birthday to you!
(Hugs Rikki)
So what are we doing later? Night out on the town? Breaking
hearts in the clubs? Eh?
(Nudges Rikki playfully)
Beth
How about a restaurant? Assessment week starts tomorrow, we
need time to revise Rik.
Rikki
(Jokingly)
Heaven forbid the brainbox Beth gets anything less than an A.
Josh
Well you guys decide what were doing and then text me.
(JOSH runs over to another clique)
Beth
Well see you later.
Rikki
(Shouting after JOSH smiling)
Bring me presents!
Beth
What do you want to do then?
Rikki
Im thinking we should just go down to that new Chinese place
in town I dont fancy a night out. Im waaay too tired.
Beth
Okay, are you getting ready at mine and staying again?
Rikki

I dont think I have any of my out clothes at yours.

Surprisingly.
Beth
(Laughs)
Okay. So come well all meet at the restaurant?
Rikki
Sounds good to me, text Josh and tell him the plans.
Beth
Alright, Ive got a lesson now so Ill just see you at the
restaurant.
Rikki
Yeah, see you later.
(BETH EXITS)
(RIKKIS phone beeps and we see the message. She reads out
loud.)
Happy birthday gorgeous, maybe Ill be your present this year.
(RIKKI looks around her then texts back)
RIKKI exits.
EXT. Howard Place leading to Half-moon Place
(Rikki is walking home from school. She is listening to music
through earphones and singing.)
Rikki
(Receives text and reads out loud.)
"Nice singing babe". What?
(Questioningly looks around and is grabbed a hand wearing
black glove and drops her school bag. Man with the glove goes
back for it.)
MAN and RIKKI exit.
INT. RIKKI is in the back of MAN'S car. She finds her phone in
her pocket and begins to text BETH.

Rikki
(Screams.)
Beth!
(Car comes to a stop. RIKKI doesn't finish the text but
manages to send Beth 'HEL'.)
INT. BETH'S bedroom where she is getting ready for RIKKI's
birthday. Split screen shows JOSH in his room also.
Beth
(Phone beeps and she goes to look at it.)
"Hel"? What is she on about?
(Beth rings Josh.)
Josh
Hello?
Beth
Hey, have you heard from Rikki?
Josh
Not since earlier, why?
Beth
I don't know... It's just she sent me a weird text.
Josh
What did it say?
Beth
Well nothing really... It was three letters and it just said
"Hel".
Josh
(Laughing)
You're worrying about that?! She probably just leant on her
phone. Rikki's big and bad enough to look after herself.
Beth

Okay... Well I'm almost ready so I'll see you a bit.

EXT. BETH and JOSH are waiting at the restaurant for RIKKI to
arrive.
Josh
Who is 35 minutes late to their own birthday? I even
remembered to bring presents!
Beth
She's never usually this late... I'll give her a call.
(Gets phone from her pocket and rings Rikki)
Straight to voicemail. Her phones never off.
Josh
It probably ran out of battery. I bet she's round the corner
right now.
(BETH and JOSH walk a little up the road)
Beth
(BETH is flustered and worried.)
OH MY GOD! She's been taken, Josh, he's got her! I told her to
be careful but she wasn't... I shouldn't have left her, oh
god, I left her!
Josh
Whoa, slow down, who has her?
Beth
She's been talking to this guy online for a while. He found
her profile on Tinder. She didn't want anyone to know, she
wasn't looking for anything serious, Rikki said he was just
someone to talk to. Josh, I'm scared. The text, what if she
was trying to say "help"?!
Josh
(serious)
We need to go to the police. Now.
