Learning Objectives: teacher clarifies the learning objective and makes sure
students that after study this matter they can solve some problem
are related.
Motivations: teacher presents the application of this matter in daily life.
In the park like in a picture, although there is
road for walking but people usually choose to
walk or cross on the grass. Although this is
not good, why people like to do that? To know
the reason, let we study about this material.
II. Main Activities
( Step 2 : focus the discussion)
1. Teacher remembers students about their assignment that is read this topics
at home.
2. Teacher explains the role of this meeting.
3. Teacher divide student to some groups which have 5 member of each
group and have heterogeneous skill, religion, custom, etc.
4. Teacher gives students a work sheet.
( Step 3 : hold the discussion)
5. Teacher give students preface material.
In the right angled triangle is having tree

side. There are two perpendicular sides

called right angled side and one side in

front of right angle called slope side or

hypotenuse. In the picture, right angled side

is AB and BC, and the hypotenuse is AC.

6. Teacher asks students to discuss about work sheet.

7. Teacher walks around class to observe the discussion and students
progress.

8. By question-answer, teacher makes sure every group is understood and

gets the right concept.
9. Teacher asks each student explain their discussion in their group to other
group ( 20 minutes) and make sure their other members are understood.
10. By question-answer teacher make sure that every students in every group
are understand about the concept.
III. Closing.
( Step 4 : end the discussion )
11. By question-answer, teacher and student make a conclusion about this
learning.
Question :
1. What in part of right angled triangle?
2. What is Pythagoras theorem?
3.

What is the formula of Pythagoras theorem?

4.

What is the meaning of the Phytagoras triple?

Answer :
1.

In the right angled triangle is have tree side. There are two perpendicular sides called right

2.

angled side and one side in front of right angle called slope side or hypotenuse
In a right angled triangle, the area of the square drawn on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum

3.

of the areas of the squares drawn on the other two sides which contain the right angle.
The formula of Phytagoras theorem,
Dengan : c
a dan b

that Pythagoras discovered was
first proved as a theorem only
after about 300 years

by a

mathematician named Euclid. This

relationship has been proved in
more than 400 different ways by
mathematicians all over the world.

This relationship is used by architects,

using the knowledge you gained in
previous grades.

Pythagoras triples
In any right angled triangle, if the sides containing the right angle are a and b and
the hypotenuse is c, then the values of a, b and c which satisfy the relationship
a2 + b2 = c2 are called Pythagoras triples.
The first Pythagoras triple, which is a whole number triple is (3, 4, 5) The
multiples of this such as (6, 8, 10), (9, 12, 15), (30, 40, 50) are also Pythagoras
triples.
Also (8, 15, 17), (7, 24, 25), (9, 40, 41) Pythagoras triple too can be written as
their multiples.
In Pythagoras triples other than their multiples, you will find that one number is
always an even number and the other two will be odd numbers.
