Ameera has also made very good progress in all areas of maths She is able to
recognise all numbers to 100, and perform a variety of simple calculations she is also
starting to communicate her working out methods and strategies used.
Ameera recognises and is starting to use mathematical symbols and correct
vocabulary. She can name simple 3.D and 2.D shapes and describe them using the
correct vocabulary.
She compares, matches and sorts objects and is starting to use correctly simple
measures such as length, weight and capacity.
Christopher has also made steady progress with maths work, he is working more
independently now and is able to recognise numbers to 20 and perform simple
calculations. He can also compare, sort and match objects and is starting to use
simple measures such as length and weight with growing independence. He can name
and describe simple 2.D and 3.D shapes and is starting to use some mathematical
vocabulary.
Courtney has made very good progress in all areas of maths She is confident with
numbers to 20 and shows growing confidence with larger numbers. She can perform a
variety of simple calculations and is also starting to communicate her working out
methods and strategies used.

Tony has made steady progress with maths work and seems to enjoy the work we do.
He is able to recognise almost all numbers to 10 now and perform some simple
calculations, he can name and describe some 2.D and 3.D shapes, and can match and
sort objects and use simple measures such as weight and length with growing
independence.
Mark has also made good progress in maths this year and shows a growing
confidence with his work.
He is able to recognise numbers to a hundred and some beyond, perform a variety of
simple calculations and is starting to talk about his work.
Mark also names simple 2.D and 3.D shapes, compares, matches and sorts objects and
is trying hard to develop and use mathematical terms and vocabulary, he also uses
simple measures such as length and weight with growing independence.
Jaime has made good progress in all elements of maths work, though this can be
affected by her lack of concentration, especially when working on her own or in a small
group. She can also be very slow to finish her work particularly if writing down her
findings.
