Mapping Europe 2015: Population and Skyscrapers

Map shows data on skyscrapers and population as estimated in the year 2015 (see key for details).
Building outlines show the tallest building in 15 European cities.
Footnotes
1. The focus on buildings over 150 meters in height is driven by the need to ensure accuracy of data, rather than
suggesting that this is the threshold for a tall building.
2. Unless otherwise noted, all population data is taken from the United Nations Department of Economic and Social
Aairs 2015 population estimate (http://esa.un.org/unpd/wpp/index.htm)
3. Population listed is the estimated population of European Russia
4. Population listed is the estimated population of European Turkey
5. Population listed is taken from the CIA World Factbook (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook)
6. All skyscraper data is taken from the CTBUH Skyscraper Center (www.skyscrapercenter.com) as of March 1st, 2013
