INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: PENS vs. ISLANDERS

*Pittsburgh managed to score the opening goal of the game for the 15th time in 19 games this season. The Penguins are 10-3-2 when
striking first.
*This game marked just the fifth time in 19 games that Pittsburgh scored two or fewer goals in a single contest.
*Patric Hornqvist has a four-game assist streak after setting up Evgeni Malkins goal, equaling his career-long streak. This is the third
time this season Hornqvist has run off a four-game assist streak (Oct. 25-Nov. 1 & Oct. 9-18).
*Paul Martin equaled his career high with seven blocked shots.
THE MORE YOU KNOW
*Of the last seven games between the Penguins and Bruins at TD Garden, six have been one-goal affairs.
*Chris Kunitz has a nine-game point streak (4G-5A) against the Bruins that dates back to Feb. 4, 2012.
*Since posting a season-worst minus-3 on Nov. 11 at Madison Square Garden, Christian Ehrhoff has two assists and is plus-8 in his
last five games. His plus-13 on the season leads all NHL defensemen. Ehrhoff has been plus or even in 16 of 19 games this year.
*Patric Hornqvist (5G-6A), Evgeni Malkin (4G-7A) and Sidney Crosby (1G-10A) are tied for the team scoring lead during the month
of November.
ADAMS PLAYS 900TH GAME
Penguins forward Craig Adams played in his 900th NHL game on Saturday night in Long Island, making him just the 12th player out of
the 241 selected in the 1996 NHL Draft to play 900 or more games. Adams, who was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the ninth round
(223rd overall), joined Cory Sarich, Matt Cullen, Zdeno Chara, Pavel Kubina and Tomas Kaberle as the only players selected in the
second round or later that year to play 900 or more NHL games.
Adams enters tonights contest having appeared in 307 consecutive games, leaving him six straight games played from equaling Ron
Schocks franchise record of 313 consecutive games played.
DUPUIS SIDELINED WITH BLOOD CLOT
Pascal Dupuis will miss a minimum of six months with a blood clot in his lung, the Penguins announced on Nov. 19. The clot, which
was identified during testing on Monday, Nov. 17, will be treated with blood thinners.
Pascal had a blood clot in his leg that traveled to his lung, said Dr. Dharmesh Vyas, the Penguins team physician. In medical terms,
that is a deep vein thrombosis resulting in a pulmonary embolism. This is the second such incident that we know of for Pascal. The
treatment is at least six months of blood thinners, during which time he will not be able to play hockey. Other than that, his condition is
stable.
DID YOU KNOW
Marc-Andre Fleury is hoping to become the third goaltender to earn his 300th NHL win while wearing a Penguins sweater, joining
Tom Barrasso (Oct. 19, 1997 at Florida) and Tomas Vokoun (April 22, 2013 at Ottawa).
