We Remembered Them.......
The sixth form students proved themselves once again to be great role
models for the school when they delivered assemblies to all other year
groups following Remembrance Sunday. Lydia, Juliet and Sam provided a
narrative whilst Insha, Will, Franchesca and Chris provided songs, poetry
and sound effects.
The assemblies provided an extremely moving account of why we use the
Poppy as a symbol of Remembrance, as well as reminding the students of
the importance of the occasion. Students were given examples of all the
conflicts where men, women and animals have given their lives to enable
us to live in peace today.
We prayed for not only those who have died, but for those who are
suffering today because of world conflict. We especially remembered two
soldiers; Miss Cybulskas cousin who died in a conflict in Iraq, and Mrs
Woolacotts Great Uncle, Tom McCormack who died in the Great War in
1915. May they rest in peace.

NEWS IN PICTURES.......
Hollys Hairspiration!
The Little Princess Trust is a charity that
helps make wigs for children with cancer.
After hearing about this charity, Holly
decided to take the brave decision to have
20 inches of her hair cut to raise money for
this fantastic cause.
Each 350 donation gives a child a free
wig; these alone cost 2000 to make. Holly
raised 500! Well done Holly!
British Values
Students have been looking at various laws surrounding their age group
during tutor time which has seen some very lively debates!
At 17, teenagers can be interviewed by the police without an adult
present, and given a reprimand or warning.
