Mesh Doily Pattern

Materials: Clark's O. N. T. Pearl Cotton Size 5, 1 ball. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 3 or 5.
To begin, ch 8, join with sl st to form ring.

1st rnd: Ch 6 (to count as 1 tr and ch-2), * 1 tr in ring, ch 2, repeat from * 10 more times, join with sl st to 4th st of ch-6 first made
(12 tr in ring).
2nd rnd: Ch 3 (to count as 1 d c), * 1 d c in each of next 2 ch, 1 d c in tr, repeat from * around (36 d c). Join with sl st to 3rd st of ch3 first made.
3rd rnd: Ch 4 (to count aside and ch-1), * 1 d c in next d c, ch 1, repeat from * around (36 d c with ch-1 between). Join to 3rd st of
ch-4 first made.
4th rnd: Ch 9 (to count as 1 d c and ch-6), * sk 2 d c and 3 single ch sts between the dc's, d c in next d c, ch 6, repeat from * 10
more times. Join with sl st to 3rd st of ch-9 first made (12 d c in all).
5th rnd: Ch 10 (to count as tr and ch-6), * sk ch-6 of previous rnd; 3 tr in next d c, ch 6, repeat from * 10 more times, 2 tr in same st
from which ch-10 started. Join to 4th ch of ch-10. 12 groups of 3-tr.
6th rnd: Ch 11 (to count as 1 tr and ch-7), * sk ch-6 of previous rnd, 1 tr in each of next 3 tr, ch 7, repeat from * around, ending with
2 tr in same st from which ch-11 started, join with sl st to 4th ch of ch-11.
7th rnd: Ch 10, * sk ch-6 of previous rnd, 1 tr in last ch of ch-7, ch 1, 1 tr between next 2 tr, ch 1, 1 tr between next 2 tr, ch 1, 1 tr in
1st ch st of next ch-7, ch 6, repeat from * around, completing last group with 3 tr with ch-1 between as before, and joining last ch-1
to 4th st of ch-10 first made (12 groups of 4-tr).
8th rnd: Ch 8, * sk ch-6 of previous rnd, 1 tr in 1st tr, ch 4, sk 2 tr with the ch-1 between, 1 tr tinder next ch-1, ch 4, sk 2 tr with the
ch-1 between, 1 tr in next tr, ch 4, repeat from * around, joining last ch-4 to 4th st of ch-8 first made.
9th rnd: Ch 8, * sk ch-4 of previous rnd, 1 tr in next tr, ch 4, sk ch-4, 3 tr in next tr, ch 4, sk ch-4, 1 tr in next tr, ch 4, repeat from *
around, joining to 4th ch of ch-8 first made.
10th rnd: Ch 8, * sk ch-4, 1 tr in next tr, ch 4, sk ch-4, 1 tr in 1st tr of 3-tr group, ch 1, 1 tr in next tr, ch 1, 1 tr in last tr of same
group, ch 4, 1 tr in next tr, ch 4, repeat from * around, joining with sl st to 4th ch as before.
11th rnd: Ch 8, * sk ch-4, 1 tr in next tr, ch 4, sk ch-3, 1 tr in next ch, ch 1, sk next tr, 1 tr under next ch-1, ch 1, sk 1 tr, 1 tr under
next ch-1, ch 1, sk 1 tr in 1st ch of next ch-4, ch 4, sk ch-4, 1 tr in next tr, ch 4, repeat from * around. Join as before.
12th rnd. Ch 10, * sk ch-4, 1 tr in next tr, ch 5, 1 d c in 1st tr of group, ch 1, 1 d c in next tr, ch 1, 1 d c in next tr, ch 1, 1 d c in last tr

of group, ch 5, 1 tr in next tr, ch 6, repeat from * around. Join as before. Fasten and break thread.
