Mission Reports Dennis Sammut was born in Malta and educated at Ruskin College in Oxford and at the London School of
Economics where he graduated Master of Science in International Relations.

He was Programme Co-ordinator for the UK organisation VERTIC from 1994-97 and Executive Director of
Special Group
LINKS from 1997 till present. In this capacity he has contributed to the process of peaceful resolution of
Transatlantic Parliamentary conflicts in the South Caucasus leading a number of innovative projects.

He served as an Advisor to the United Nations in Afghanistan from November 2005 to April 2006 where he

2009 Oslo Session Caucasus-Caspian Commission.  Currently he is also the Chairman of the Consortium Initiative, a civil society

2008 He was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2007 New Year’s Honour’s List.
