AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING: After school tutoring is now being offered on


Tuesdays & Thursdays. Parents will need to fill out a tutoring form at FCS campus.
KG thru 2nd grade may attend tutoring at the after school care sites at the Apalach
Project Impact, Eastpoint Nest, & Cbelle Nest. Students will need to be registered with
the Nest & complete a bus ridership form for students to be taken to the Nest after
H/S in the Gym @ 8:05am
school. Parents will need to pick their children up from the after school sites.
Grades 3 thru 12 will be tutored at the FCS campus from 3:00-5:00pm (snacks in the
cafeteria @ 2:15pm). An activity bus will depart from FCS at 5:15pm. Students will be dropped off at the following locations: Cbelle Nest,
Eastpoint Nest, & Apalach ABC School. Parents are responsible for picking up their child from the drop off location. For more info call 670-2800.

Pop Tab Drive Contest:

The National Honor Society is sponsoring a Pop Tab Drive from Jan 12 to Feb. 20 to

benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Prize for the homeroom/1st period class that collects the most tabs in PK-2nd gr.,
3rd-5th gr., 6th-8th gr., & 9th-12h gr. The final day to turn in pop tabs is Feb. 20! - Ms. Duhart, NHS Sponsor

meet with Seniors (with their teachers permission!) to assist in completing college applications.

**Baseball: No M/S baseball practice until tryouts on Jan. 20, at 2:45. Must have a sports physical/packet turned in by Jan. 20.

DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PROPERTY


There are 2 double-wide trailers/mobile homes on the Brown campus that have been declared surplus by the Franklin County
School Board. They are listed as Building #8 and Building #9. They are the first two buildings on the south side of the Brown
gymnasium.
We are sending this advertisement to Franklin County School Board employees first before it is made available to the general public.
If you desire to bid on this property please make arrangements with Al London x4107 during the week of January 19 to view the
property. Property will be sold at sealed bid auction with bids submitted to the District Office attn.: Al London no later than 12 noon
February 3, 2015. Bids will be opened and awarded at the School Board meeting February 5 th. Upon successful award, the purchaser must
provide a $500 non-refundable deposit by 4:00PM February 6 th, 2015.
Property must be paid for with certified funds, not later than February 15, 2015, and removed no later than 4:30 pm February 28,
2015. Removal of property must be done by a licensed and insured company who must provide proof of insurance acceptable to the Franklin
County School Board.
There are no warranties expressed or implied and terms of sale are as-is, where-is with purchaser to pay for all moving/relocation
costs. All sales are final. Failure to comply with any terms will result in a forfeiture of the award.

Franklin County Adult School GED Tutoring Classes & Testing Center
GED TUTORING CLASSES have resumed on the Franklin County School Campus on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm in
the elementary multi-purpose building computer lab. For information on tutoring classes contact Nick OGrady at 670-2810, ext. 4110.
If interested in taking the GED Test, go to www.ged.com & register to take the test, choosing the Franklin County site for testing.
You will not be able to take the test on the same day that you register, so register early! The website also contains information on what
is needed to prepare for the test. The testing site is at the Franklin County District Office (old Brown Elementary School).
Testing hours of are: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays from 9:00am to 2:00pm and Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00am
