** STATE ASSESSMENT TESTING: Parents, testing is in full swing for several different grade levels and will continue through May.
Please be sure your child gets plenty of rest & arrives to school on time, attendance is vital to the success of our students. See testing
dates below under the FCS Calendar of Events section.

Mrs. Gay Receives SHINE Award from Governor


Mrs. Gay, along with seven other educators from across Florida, was recognized as an
Outstanding Educator on April 14, 2015.
We have been fortunate to have Mrs. Gay for 38 years and currently she serves as our
5th grade math & science teacher.
**Take Stock In Children Applications: Students from 7th-9th grade interested in the Take Stock program can pick up an application
from Mr. Robinson. Deadline to submit is May 12, 2015.
**FREE SPORTS PHYSICAL: Sacred Heart Medical Group is offering FREE physicals to all athletes today from 5-7pm at the St. Joe High
School. If you receive this physical now it will be good thru 2015-16 school year.
**Senior Trip Mtg.: Thurs. April 23: Important information for students & parents attending the trip @ 6pm in the library

Seahawk Art Exhibit


Ms. Countryman and Ms. Humble are collecting art pieces for the student
display at the Museum of Art on May 4th. Teachers, please submit all work by
April 29th.

AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING: After school tutoring is offered on Tuesdays & Thursdays.There is a waiting list for KG-8thgrade
H/S students may contact their teachers to see if a slot is available. For more info call 670-2800.

Mrs. DeVaughns Class is now accepting gently used donations to be featured in the Seahawk
Treasure Hunt Store. Students are learning the process of getting a job & running a business. Your
support is greatly appreciated. Desire items include: books, games, puzzles, toys, DVDs, etc
Check back for Store Opening Date!
**Activity Bus: The activity bus departs at 5:15pm -Mondays thru Thursdays for students involved in after school activities.
All unsupervised students need to be sent to the office to call home.

Franklin County Adult School GED Tutoring Classes & Testing Center
GED TUTORING CLASSES have resumed on the Franklin County School Campus on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm in
the elementary multi-purpose building computer lab. For information on tutoring classes contact Nick OGrady at 670-2810, ext. 4110.
If interested in taking the GED Test, go to www.ged.com & register to take the test, choosing the Franklin County site for testing.
You will not be able to take the test on the same day that you register, so register early! The website also contains information on what
is needed to prepare for the test. The testing site is at the Franklin County District Office (old Brown Elementary School).
Testing hours of are: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays from 9:00am to 2:00pm and Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00am
10:00pm. For more information call 670-2810 ext. 4127 on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
