Subject : Letter of Recommendation for X

Dear Sir,
X asked me to write a letter of recommendation in support of her application
for a position in your Cardiology residency program and I enthusiastically agreed. I
have known Ms. X through her practice in cardiology ward of my hospital as an
observer for a month in August 2014. I believe X would be an excellent addition to
your cardiology team.
Although our institution places restrictions on students regarding physical
contact with patients, Ms. X communicated efficiently and respectfully in the
manner of a confident and experienced physician. She seemed more comfortable
talking about patients on rounds than either of the cardiologist on the team. Ms. X
really enjoys helping people. Also, Ms. X loves confronting the complex problems
that arise in cardiology and has the analitycal skills to do so.
I come to know Ms. X during the month she worked in my hospital. During this
time I had daily contact with Ms. X and can attest to the fact that she is a most
descerving candidate for residency training. During the rotation she performed in a
truly outstanding fashion.I became very confident of Xs clinical acumen with superb
fund of knowledge, excellent problem solving skills and boundless energy and
enthusiasm. She was valued by the other members of our team, as tremendously
committed to patient care and learning, and delightful to work with.
In summary, Ms. X is clearly the best student I have worked with in the last 10
years. I would very much like her match to your residency program. I give her my
highest recommendation.
