KINGSBURY PRINTING CO. INC. OPENS

SECOND LOCATION IN QUEENSBURY!
Kingsbury Printing has been in their Hudson Falls location for twenty
nine years; since 1986. Operations will continue in Hudson Falls as
usual.
However, because the company is offering new products, a second
location has been added. Their second location is now open in the Mt.
Royal Plaza in Queensbury where they now offer large format printing along with quality digital and offset printing the company has long
been known for producing.
There are a large number of printed products. Business cards, brochures, booklets, newsletters, carbonless forms, rack cards, all of the
usual printed materials; and now large format products like wall clings,
window clings, yard signs, decals, banners and the like. Graphic Design is also available.
The new location also has a wedding invitation center for customer
designed wedding packages. Copies and fax service are available in
the Queensbury location, too.
Visit their new location at the Mt. Royal Plaza, 959 State Route 9,
Suites E&F in Queensbury, New York. The Queensbury location is
open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00
pm. Thursday 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The Hudson Falls location is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am
to 3:330 pm.

Two great locations for all of your

printed material. Go see them, today!

Random Thoughts

EVER WONDER...Why do supermarkets make the sick walk all the way
to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy
cigarettes at the front? Why do people
order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke?
Why do banks leave vault doors open and then
chain the pens to the counters?
Why do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in our driveways and put our useless junk
in the garage?
Why does the sun lightens our hair, but darkens
our skin?
Why dont you ever see the headline Psychic
Wins Lottery?
Why is abbreviated such a long word?
Why is it that doctors and attorneys call what
they do practice?
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavoring, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons?
Why is the man who invests all your money called
a broker?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic
called rush hour?
Why isnt there mouse-flavored cat food?
Why didnt Noah swat those two mosquitoes?
Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
You know that indestructible black box that is
used on airplanes? Why dont they make the
whole plane out of that stuff??
Why dont sheep shrink when it rains?
Why are they called apartments when they are
all stuck together?
If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport
the terminal?

Jade came to us after her previous guardian passed
away. She is a bit of a diva and would prefer not to have
to share the spotlight with anyone else. She has always
been an indoor cat and at 9 years old should not be
allowed outside. She can have her loving moments, and
her playful moments, but overall Jade is a fairly independent cat. All she really needs to be happy is a comfortable bed to
curl up on and peace and quiet. If you think your home is just the place
for Jade to retire to please come by and pay her a visit!
Loretta came to SCAC because her previous guardian could no longer care for her. She is a very energetic, playful cat that gets along with people, dogs,
and some cats. Loretta is looking for a forever home
with someone who likes to play and wont mind her
running around and speaking her mind. She has been
indoors her whole life and would like to be an indoor only cat. If Loretta
sounds like the girl for you please stop by and pay her a visit.
New Year came to us after been found running around
someones yard. We know hes been someones pet
before though, because he is a wonderfully friendly
soul. He just loves getting pet, doesnt mind being
picked up, and is incredibly gentile. He really could
use a new start, so if you think youve got space in
your home for an adorable, cuddly furry companion
like him come on down and visit him!

BATTENKILL CONSERVANCYS FULL MOON NIGHT SKY CROSS COUNTRY SKI &
SNOW SHOE HIKE - January 31, 2014 at the home of Jan and Tom Wolski in Cambridge, New
York. The event, open to the general public and all members and supporters of the Battenkill Conservancy, looks to foster an appreciation and awareness of the watersheds recreational assets. The Its
Your Battenkill campaign, launched last year encourages the general public to explore, discover and
tell their local officials what they want for their Battenkill.
Bill Frederick of the Salem Astronomy Club has been invited to share his expertise on pointing out the
night sky highlights and will be setting up a high-precision telescope to identify the winter constellations. Moonlight and votive lanterns will guide skiers, snowshoers and hikers along the wooded trails.
Apple cider, hot chocolate and winter snacks will be offered around a roaring bonfire to complete the
evenings activities. Attendees should meet at 4 McMillan Road in Cambridge, NY at 7:30 PM. Simple
food or drink contributions are welcome. The event is open to the general public and free to all current
BkC members and supporters. Additional information on discounted equipment rentals, directions and
pre-registation by emailing bkc@battenkillconservancy.org.

KAYLEE PRATT OF HAMPTON, NY was recently named to
the Castleton College Dean's List for the fall semester of the 201415 academic year. To qualify for this academic honor, the student
must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average
of 3.5. Castleton is small enough to be a community where every
student matters, yet offers more than 30 academic programs, 27
intercollegiate sports, and over 40 clubs and organizations. The
college stresses community service and provides exceptional programs for first year students.
JASON A. LLOYD OF ARGYLE completed his graduate studies at SUNY Oswego in history last fall with a master of arts degree and was recognized in December at the colleges Commencement.

Random Thoughts
THESE ARE ACTUAL COMPLAINTS RECEIVED BY THOMAS COOK VACATIONS FROM
DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS:
1. I think it should be explained in the
brochure that the local convenience store does not sell proper
biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts.
2. Its lazy of the local shopkeepers in Puerto Vallarta to close
in the afternoons. I often needed to buy things during siesta
time this should be banned.
3. On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that
almost every restaurant served curry. I dont like spicy food.
4. We booked an excursion to a water park but no-one told us
we had to bring our own swimsuits and towels. We assumed it
would be included in the price.
5. The beach was too sandy. We had to clean everything
when we returned to our room.
6. We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure.
Your brochure shows the sand as white but it was more yellow.
7. They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It
was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax.
8. No-one told us there would be fish in the water. The children were scared.
9. Although the brochure said that there was a fully equipped
kitchen, there was no egg-slicer in the drawers.
10. We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the
taxi drivers as they were all Spanish.
11. The roads were uneven and bumpy, so we could not read
the local guide book during the bus ride to the resort. Because
of this, we were unaware of many things that would have
made our holiday more fun.
12. It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica to England. It took the Americans only three hours to get home.
This seems unfair.
13. I compared the size of our one-bedroom suite to our
friends three-bedroom and ours was significantly smaller.
14. The brochure stated: No hairdressers at the resort. Were
trainee hairdressers and we think they knew and made us wait
longer for service.
15. When we were in Spain, there were too many Spanish
people there. The receptionist spoke Spanish, the food was
Spanish. No one told us that there would be so many foreigners.
16. We had to line up outside to catch the boat and there was
no air-conditioning.
17. It is your duty as a tour operator to advise us of noisy or
unruly guests before we travel.
18. I was bitten by a mosquito. The brochure did not mention
mosquitoes.
19. My fiancee and I requested twin-beds when we booked,
but instead we were placed in a room with a king bed. We
now hold you responsible and want to be re-reimbursed for
the fact that I became pregnant. This would not have happened if you had put us in the room that we booked.
