Karnataka Chess Association, have the honour to invite all Schools (any Syllabus) in
Karnataka to participate in the 2 nd Karnataka State School Team
Chess
Championships-2015 (Under-7,Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15 & Under-17
for Open & Girls categories) which is going to be held at Greenwood High
International School at the above mentioned dates.

Dommasandra Circle and 1.5 KM from there. Very close to TISB and

TOURNAMENT WILL START BY 9.45 AM.
The tournament will be played on Swiss league/Round Robin basis.
The no. of rounds will be announced before start of the tournament.

TOTAL NO OF CATEGORIES IS TWELVE (6 IN 0PEN AND 6 IN GIRLS)

Each school can send team for all the 12 Categories

OR Any Category.
A school can send one team or two teams (i.e. A team, B Team) in
each category. Greenwood High as a host is fielding three teams
(i.e. A team and B team and C team) in each category, but for the
overall championship only A team points in all 12 categories
together will be considered. In case of an odd entry in any category
Host School can put additional team (i.e. D team) to make teams
even. If a School wants to compete for overall championship taking
part in all the 12 categories is mandatory. In each category the
team should consist of 4 players. The board order of the team
should be sent in the entry form and it cannot be changed for the
tournament. A Player can take part in only one of the eligible
category .

All the Students should come in their School uniforms and

carry School Identity Card .At the time of reporting on
tournament day the officials have to submit the Filled up
Player registration form with attached copy of BIRTH
CERTIFICATE for all the Players separately.
The School has to send their teams with their officials only.
Parents are not allowed. LUNCH will be provided to all the
participants and 2 officials from the School. Out station
teams have to make their own arrangement for lodging
In all cases of disputes the decision of Chief Arbiter is final and binding on
all. Officials are responsible for the proper behavior of their students.
Maximum Duration of each round will be one hour. Organiser reserves the
right to amend or alter the rules and regulations and it will be announced
orally before the start of the tournament.They also reserves the right to

accept or reject the entries without giving any reasons. Any other rules and
changes will be informed orally.

PRIZES:
THREE TEAM PRIZES FOR THE SCHOOLS WILL BE GIVEN IN EACH
CATEGORY
(TOTAL PRIZES 36)
MEDALS AND PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS OF TOP THREE
TEAMS IN EACH CATEGORY.
(48 GOLD, 48 SILVER AND 48 BRONZE MEDALS AND 144 TROPHY TO
ALL PRIZE WINNERS)
CERTIFICATE WILL BE GIVEN TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS.

The team winners in each category are the Karnataka State Team
Chess Championship Winners for 2015.
