Dear Denny International and Chief Sealth International Scholars and Families,

This afternoon at approximately 1:35pm, both Denny International Middle School and Chief Sealth
International High School entered a Shelter-in-Place. During a Shelter-in-Place all exterior doors are
secured, but school procedures within the building operate as usual.

Just before we entered the Shelter-in-Place, four individuals were seen outside of Sealth, across the street
of Thistle at the Southwest Athletic Complex, with what appeared to be a gun. The police were notified
and responded immediately. The four suspects were later found at Westwood Village and were identified
as Chief Sealth students. One of them was in possession of an airsoft gun and plastic pellets. The four
students were released by the police into the custody of school security and then over to the schools
administration.

The Shelter-in-Place ended at approximately 1:50pm. School was let out at its normal times. All of us at
Denny and Sealth consider student safety to be our top priority. Please report any unusual activities, on or
off campus, to any adult at either school right away. We are here to work together with you and protect
your children.

Estimado Estudiantes y Familias de las Escuelas de Denny Internacional y Chief Sealth Internacional,

Esta tarde aproximadamente a la 1:35 pm, tanto en las escuelas secundaria de Denny Internacional y Chief
Sealth International entr en un Refugio en la Escuela. Durante un Refugio en la Escuela todas las
puertas exteriores estn asegurados, pero los procedimientos de la escuela dentro del edificio funcionan
como de costumbre.

Justo antes de entrar en el Refugio, se observaron cuatro individuos fuera de Sealth, a travs de la calle del
Complejo Atltico de Southwest, con lo que pareca ser un arma. La polica fue notificada y respondi de
inmediato. Los cuatro sospechosos fueron encontrados ms tarde en Westwood Village y se identificaron
como estudiantes de Chief Sealth. Uno de ellos estaba en posesin de una pistola de airsoft y grnulos de
plstico. Los cuatro estudiantes fueron puestos en libertad por la polica a la custodia de la seguridad de la
escuela y despus a la administracin.

El Refugio en la Escuela termin aproximadamente a la 1:50pm. Las escuelas terminaron el da a sus
tiempos normales. Todos nosotros en Denny y Sealth considera la seguridad de los estudiantes ser nuestra
prioridad nmero uno. Por favor reporte cualquier actividad extraa, adentro o fuera del campus, a
cualquier adulto en cualquiera de las dos escuelas de inmediato. Estamos aqu para trabajar junto con
ustedes y proteger a nuestros alumnos.
