Take print out of all the attachments on A4 size (Bond or executive paper)
2. Fill all the forms (application/opinion report/pre sanction sheet) completely
and sign (in full and no initial) wherever required. Application is to be signed on
all pages. Send the completed set to the branch by courier for sanction of the loan
even before your arrival to IIM Calcutta. One additional photo copy of the filled
in loan application is to be sent alongwith other documents.
3. Bring all the original documents to the Branch for verification before loan
disbursement.
4. Student will have to open a Savings account with us before disbursement of
the loan.

Complete all the steps and take a print out(on A4) of the SB account opening
form, paste a color photo graph, sign wherever required, attach self signed
copies of the Photo ID and address proof mentioned in the account opening
form. Pls bring the completed form to the Branch during your visit for opening
of SB account at our end. No Manual Account opening please. The online SB
account opening form is to be brought to the Branch within 30 days for
opening of the account in our CBS system. All students have to have a SB Account
in single name. This online facility is for new customers only and not for existing SBI
accounts holders. If you have an existing account then please ensure that the account is
in single name, cheque operated and fully KYC Complied Account and the account with
CIF is transferred to IIM Joka Branch (06210) before your arrival or loan disbursement.
5. Scan copy of filled in application not accepted. The loan application has to be
submitted in original, in the Branch located inside the campus.
6. Presence of Co-applicant along-with the student is required for execution of
loan documents otherwise the documents have to be sent to the nearby branch for
execution by the co applicant. This may delay the loan disbursement.
7. Applicant and co applicant have to sign on all pages of the loan application.
8. PAN Card is mandatory for both applicant and co applicant. (Four Copies for
applicant and two copies for co-applicant)
9. The current instruction of the Bank for Scholar Loans require that the KYC of the
student and co applicant are to be verified before second disbursement of the loan
(or three months from first disbursement, whichever is earlier), by any SBI Branch. So
students are requested to provide us the full details (Branch Code, Postal Address
and Mobile No of the Branch Manager) of the SBI Branch near their home town. This
information can be shared with us at the time of signing of the final loan document
when they report to IIM Calcutta.
10. Students can pay the fee of their own and can get reimbursement from the
bank later on, if their loan is sanctioned.
11. Please fill all the boxes in all the forms neatly and in Capital Letters only.
Any alterations / cuttings, in the loan application is to be authenticated by applicant
and co applicant.
12. Once we receive your documents, we will sanction the loan and inform you
at the given e-mail.
