FourthIdea Announces Addition of New Associates


Buffalo-based advertising + design firm expands to service new & existing clients
BUFFALO, NY FourthIdea, a Buffalo-based advertising + design firm launched in 2010 under the
direction of president and creative director Thomas Mooney, has announced the hiring of five new
employees as a result of the agencys growing portfolio and strategic expansion plan.
The new FourthIdea associates include graphic designer Nick Blazier, office coordinator Nicole
Brown, art director Sean Daly, graphic designer Kirsten Ritchie, and art director Michael Tripi.
It is an exciting time for the development of our firm as we add associates, take on new projects,
and continue to craft really innovative work for our clients, said Thomas Mooney, FourthIdea
president and creative director. Through relationships with world-class brands right here in Buffalo
and across the United States, FourthIdea is making its mark as both an extremely capable advertising
and design firm, as well as an outstanding place to work.
FourthIdea is an advertising + design firm that provides brand/creative strategy, account planning
and creative services to a select group of regional and national clients. The FourthIdea team
combines strong emerging talent with industry veterans to provide results-focused advertising and
promotional programs.
NEW ASSOCIATE BIOGRAPHIES:
Nick Blazier, Graphic Designer
Nick Blazier is a graphic designer originally from Buffalo, NY, who spent time living/studying in
Los Angeles, CA. He studied Communication Arts at Otis College of Art and Design, with a primary
focus on advertising and art direction. Nick spent three years working at agencies on the West Coast,
at Deutsch LA as a creative intern, and SK+G Las Vegas as a freelance art director. He has worked
on a variety of clients, including: VW, Dr. Pepper, California Milk, Cicis Pizza, MGM International,
River City Casino and Lauberge du Lac Hotel and Casino. Practicing a versatile design aesthetic,
Nick creates beautiful designs that bridge the gap between traditional and emerging media.
Sean Daly, Art Director
Sean Daly is an award-winning designer and illustrator and was recently named a FourthIdea art
director. He focuses on the Travel Hospitality Services and Parks & Resorts divisions of Delaware
North Companies. Prior to joining FourthIdea, Sean was an Art Director at Partners + Napier in
Rochester, NY, working on numerous accounts including Kodak, Bausch+Lomb and Constellation
Brands. Sean has also worked for Hunt & Gather in Boston, MA, and Macey Noyes Associates in
Wilton, CT. He is a graduate of Syracuse Universitys Communications Design program.

Kirsten Ritchie, Graphic Designer


Kirsten Ritchie is a graphic designer, born and raised in Buffalo, NY. She is a recent graduate of the
University of Buffalo and holds a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree with a concentration in
Communication Design. She also studied abroad at Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy, completing
international coursework in communication design. During and after college, Kirsten worked at
Graphic Controls as a graphic design intern, and freelanced for various companies throughout the
region. Kirsten has completed design projects for Moog, Graphic Controls, Inn Buffalo, and
Hammerl Amusements.
Michael Tripi, Art Director
Michael Tripi is an award-winning art director with extensive experience in sports and entertainment
marketing. Prior to joining FourthIdea, Michael was the creative force behind Time Warner Cables
Western New York regional campaigns. His client-side background gives him great insight to
meeting clients needs and goals. As a designer at Cenergy Communications, Mike has also
completed work for the Toronto Blue Jays, Buffalo Bills, Lake Erie Monsters, Cleveland Cavaliers
and Right Guard Xtreme. Mike is a former student of FourthIdea president and creative director
Thomas Mooney and a longtime freelancer of the firm.
