Do you know that a kitchen can be a dangerous place if you are not careful? You can keep your kitchen
safe by following these tips. First, make sure all wires, cords and plugs on your appliances are not frayed. The
plugs should have 3-prong grounded connections. This would include toasters, blenders, microwave ovens, cake
mixers, coffee makers and other electrical appliances. You should also make sure that the blender is unplugged
and switched off before touching the blades.
When you have pots and pans cooking on the stove, do not leave them unattended. Also, avoid wearing
inappropriate clothing such as loose sleeves and sweaters while cooking. Make sure to keep dish towels, pot

holders and oven mitts away from the stove. Keep matches and lighters in places where children cannot reach
easily. It is also good to keep fire extinguisher in or near the kitchen. However, the fire extinguisher
should not be
