Market Research and Content Development Internship Spring/Summer 2015

General responsibilities:
The Market Research and Content Development Internship is offered to undergraduate students (entering their
Junior or Senior year of college) or graduate students. This position will be responsible for assisting the
Marketing Manager and all members of the Marketing team at EKS&H with conducting, compiling, and
analyzing research on organizations, industries, and individuals to inform firm leadership in growing the
business. In addition, this individual will be asked to help draft content for internal and external outlets about
the firm, its employees, its clients and prospects, and their industries. Sample responsibilities and projects
include:
Assembling research on new and growing client and prospect industry trends
Conducting analysis on client and service industry size and growth
Drafting timely and topical content for EKS&H News Releases, News and Notes blog, and traditional
marketing collateral
Identifying key contacts and developing individual profiles of those individuals at prospect companies
and in prospect industries
Requirements:
Progress towards completion of an applicable bachelors degree in May 2015 or 2016. Applicable
degrees may include: Business, Marketing, Communications, Statistics, and others.
Accounting, finance, economics, statistics, marketing background a plus.
A 3.0 minimum GPA
Previous experience compiling research, particularly with a business or industry focus, and
synthesizing this into actionable deliverables preferred. (Specific tools include: CapitalIQ, IBIS
World, Hoovers, OneSource, SEC/Edgar, Guidestar, Manta, Zoominfo, etc.)
Skills and Abilities:
Applicants should demonstrate a combination of analytical thinking, quantitative skills, creative intellect, and
superior written and verbal communication abilities. In addition they should have a strong attention to detail,
professional presentation, and exercise strong quality control over their work. They should exhibit flexibility
in a rapidly changing business environment and respond with high energy.
