Successfully managing all finance, accounting, planning and human resource functions for approximately $300 million in revenue with an
expense base of $240 annually.
Achieved outstanding results in a recent special project by offsetting an estimated revenue decline of $11 million, maintaining the targeted
gross profit for the year. By reorganization of staff and implementing a refined process, we were able to reduce staff and maximize
productivity resulting in a stable and reachable GP.
Developed and maintained internal and external controls regulated by Sarbanes-Oxley Act through periodic audit of documentation,
testing, reviewing and reporting of company controls.
Meeting monthly projections, reviewing and approving budgets for all departments and divisions has effectively maintained a healthy
finance portfolio. Achievable via variance analysis, meeting closing deadlines, biweekly meetings with all levels of management to
highlight challenged areas in order to resolve prior to month end closing.

Effectively managed all accounting functions with an expense volume of approximately $375 million annually across the company and its
subsidiaries. This includes monthly review of all balance sheet account reconciliations and closely monitoring all journal entries posted in
the company accounting system (PeopleSoft)
Managed and maintained documents, periodic testing, reviews and reports of the company controls according to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Responsible for a staff of twenty managers which together we reduced the Los Angeles City Business License Tax payment by 25%
through detailed research of qualified tax exemptions. Also responsible for over $9 million in property tax refunds from Los Angeles and
Orange county tax account.
Instrumental in establishing a shared service center for the back office functions though our Tribune division in Dallas; which reduced
personnel overhead and maximized the EBIT result.
Served on a 15 member council board which was tasked with reshaping all finance and accounting functions throughout the divisions.

Managed and controlled all accounting and financing functions which included timely payroll for 100 plus employees, vendor payments,
collection reports and monthly statements.
Became and still am a BSIS licensed security guard. This was necessary to participate in field assignments and handle quoting of jobs.
Developed a winning team through training and a hands on approach; consisting of security agents, administrative, clerical and accounting
office staff. Successfully converted the manual accounting system to QuickBooks, moving client and personnel information to FileMaker
Pro as well as researching and executing all finance and accounting functions.
Established and documented the first O&R employee handbook with clear and understandable emphasizes of policy and procedures.
Negotiated stable credit limits with multiple financial institutes allowing adequate cash flow while maintaining healthy relationships with
all partners and clients.

Developed an inventory system which allowed conducting the first physical inventory task for WD Art Classics to be performed efficiently
and effectively reducing labor resources and company down time.
Managed the logistics of consolidating four WD facilities into one 36,000 sqft distribution center while overseeing the day to day
operations and staff training.
