DALE KASH, JUDY WANG, LUKE VELO and WADE RAGGO sit around
the table. Eyes fixed on the blackboard.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 2
Wade Raggo not known for his manners, has his feet on the
table, puffing on a large cigar.
SAM NEVILLE
OK, Everyone's here. Good. We can
start then.
TIMOTHY BROCK
A few hours ago. We lost contact
with the mining ship
NorthStar.It's was on its way
back from G700...
BOB BENTLEY
...This is a very precious ship
to us. And to our company. The
Iron Ore cargo is extremely
valuable. It would be of great
use to us, if you could bring it
back home.
SAM NEVILLE
Look, Mr Bentley. I understand
your concerns but we here to find
and rescue the crew. If you want
the ship back. You'll have find
some intergalactic tow truck.
MARK YOUNGS
But...
BOB BENTLEY
...Very well. The crew's safe
return is also our concern.
SAM NEVILLE
This is your mission brief.
SAM NEVILLE
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 3
(continuing)
One. To find out what happened.
Two. Help with any medical injuries.
SAM NEVILLE
(continuing)
And most importantly...
SAM NEVILLE
(continuing)
...Three. Bring the crew and
yourselves back home safely.
TIMOTHY BROCK
I know, Wade. That your usually
leader of missions like these.
But I've spoken to the company
directors before hand.
TIMOTHY BROCK
(continuing)
And they would prefer someone
with more experience.
JAY DALLAS
You called for me? Mr. Brock?
Wade Raggo, Dale Kash, Judy Wang & Luke Velo stare blankly
at Jay Dallas.
WADE RAGGO
I don't fuckin' believe this.
WADE RAGGO
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 4
BOB BENTLEY
This is a very delicate mission.
We need someone with proven field
experience.
SAM NEVILLE
Have you been briefed?
JAY DALLAS
I have indeed.
SAM NEVILLE
Right, get suited up. You leave
in five hours.
WADE RAGGO
I hope this doesn't have the same
outcome as your last mission.
MARK YOUNGS
We want our ship and cargo back
at ALL costs. Understand?
MARK YOUNGS
Your retired. This is the last
mission you'll ever do again. So
do as ordered and there'll be a
large cash bonus in it for you.
There is silence. Dale Kash, Judy Wang and Luke Velo suit up.
WADE RAGGO
What the fuck where they thinkin'?
LUKE VELO
Give him a chance. I'm sure he'll
do a good job.
Judy Wang and Dale Kash are also fully dressed. Clutching
their helmets in one hand.
JUDY WANG
What happened anyway?
WADE RAGGO
Let's just say his last mission
went right up shit creek.
DALE KASH
There was a fire. He lost some
of his crew. Apparently he found
the guilt too much and
subsequently retired.
LUKE VELO
Stop worrying and get dressed.
Your our bloody pilot.
WADE RAGGO
Yeah. I would've been captain, too.
in one hand. The other shielding his eyes from the sun.
Luke Velo, Wade Raggo, Judy Wang and Dale Kash join him.
They too, shield their eyes from the sun.
JUDY WANG
What a lovely day it is.
JAY DALLAS
Yes, it is, isn't it?
WADE RAGGO
I guess it's my duty to introduce
you to MY crew. This lovely lady
is Judy Wang. She's the medical
officer.
JUDY WANG
Nice to meet you.
WADE RAGGO
Next we have, Luke Velo.
Engineering officer. There isn't
an engine that he can't fix.
LUKE VELO
Howdy.
WADE RAGGO
Then we have our computer whiz
kid and all round nerd, Dale Kash.
DALE KASH
Hey! I object to that. I'm just
intellectually stimulated.
JAY DALLAS
And yourself?
WADE RAGGO
I would be Wade Raggo. I'm the
best damn pilot that ever lived.
Usually I'd also serve as captain.
JAY DALLAS
Well, not anymore. I'm in charge
and you'll all do exactly as I
tell you. That way we'll avoid
screw ups.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 7
WADE RAGGO
Yeah. You'd certainly be an
expert on screw ups, wouldn't ya?
LUKE VELO
Cut it out, OK?
WADE RAGGO
Fucking idiot been here less than
ten minutes and already he's
brainwashed MY crew.
Luke Velo and Judy Wang sit quietly in their seats behind
Jay Dallas.
DALE KASH
I hate sitting vertical like this.
It makes me feel sick.
WADE RAGGO
Just hold it in. We'll be in
space anytime soon.
JAY DALLAS
If your not cut out for it. Why
did you join in the first place?
WADE RAGGO
Or more importantly, why did YOU
join in the first place?
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 8
LUKE VELO
I'm sorry about this, captain.
Wade gets a little agitated
before we launch.
WADE RAGGO
Don't apologize for me. I wanna
know why this jerk is here. I
have a right to know. This could
endanger the lives of MY crew.
JAY DALLAS
It's not your crew anymore, Mr.
Raggo. It's my crew. I'm in charge.
DALE KASH
Please guys, don't argue. I'm
nervous as it is. I don't need
this shit.
WADE RAGGO
Fine. I'm sorry captain. I didn't
mean to question your ethics. I
apologize for my actions.
JAY DALLAS
That's more like it.
WADE RAGGO
Jerk.
JAY DALLAS
But if you must know. The brother
of a deceased friend of mine is
onboard. I promised his mother,
I'll bring him home safely.
WADE RAGGO
This friend wouldn't be the one
that died on YOUR last mission,
would it?
JUDY WANG
Wade. I think that was most

DALE KASH
Hyperdrive ready and active,
captain.
JAY DALLAS
Brace yourselves, crew.
JAY DALLAS
Engage, Mr. Raggo.
WADE RAGGO
Aye, aye. Captain.
CUT TO:
The Engines glow. The Moray Shuttle zooms off at the speed
of light.
DALE KASH
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 12
JAY DALLAS
Dis-engage hyperdrive, Mr. Raggo.
WADE RAGGO
There she be. One of the greatest
ships ever built.
DALE KASH
Wow. What a sight.
JAY DALLAS
Don't get too excited, gentlemen.
WADE RAGGO
Look at that. What a disgrace. A
beautiful ship doin' nothin' but
floating around in dead space.
JAY DALLAS
Take us in, Mr. Raggo.
WADE RAGGO
Yeah. I guessed that.
CUT TO:
Luke Velo, Dale Kash, Judy Wang and Wade Raggo unbuckle
their belts.
JAY DALLAS
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 13
LUKE VELO
No problem, captain.
JAY DALLAS
The rest of us will head to the
bridge and assess the situation
from there. Alright get helmets
on, space packs loaded and let's
move.
Jay Dallas, Dale Kash, Wade Raggo, Luke Velo and Judy Wang
float down the tunnel.
Jay Dallas and Dale Kash stop at the door. The others wait
behind them
JAY DALLAS
Alright. Let's do this.
The crew float in. Lights from their helmets cut through
the darkness.
JAY DALLAS
Alright, listen up. This ship has
four decks. The first is the A
deck. This contains the bridge.
Myself, Miss Wang, Mr. Raggo and
Mr. Kash will be heading. The
second deck is the B deck. Crew
living quarters are located here.
The third deck is the C deck. Mr.
Velo, this is engineering, that's
where you'll be heading to get
the power up and running.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 14
WADE RAGGO
And the fourth?
JAY DALLAS
The fourth is where the Iron ore
is stored. But we won't concern
our selves with this. Anymore
questions Mr. Raggo?
WADE RAGGO
No, no. I'm fine.
JAY DALLAS
Alright. Let's get to it.
CUT TO:
Jay Dallas appears at the door. His lights beam in. The
door cranks open. He enters. He floats casually into the
captain's chair.
Judy Wang and Wade Raggo enter. They hover around at the
back.
JUDY WANG
What's happened in here? It's a
mess.
WADE RAGGO
I'm sure we'll find out soon
enough. right, captain?
JAY DALLAS
Indeed, Mr Raggo. Indeed.
WADE RAGGO
(to Judy Wang)
Look at him. Sitting there all
high and mighty. The jerk.
JUDY WANG
(to Wade Raggo)
Don't start this again. I've had
enough.
WADE RAGGO
(to Judy Wang)
That should be ME there.
Pitch black.
CUT TO:
DALE KASH
That's better.
Jay Dallas taps the two way radio button on his wrist.
JAY DALLAS
(on the radio)
And the power, Mr. Velo?
CUT TO:
LUKE VELO
(on the radio)
Power should be on any time now.
LUKE VELO
(continuing)
Hang on. Hang on. Dud switch.
Don't panic.
LUKE VELO
(continuing)
Fingers crossed.
CUT TO:
The ship lights up. Shining bright in the dark cold space.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 16
CUT TO:
JAY DALLAS
(on the radio)
Thank you, Mr. Velo. See if you
can get the engines running.
WADE RAGGO
Whoa. That ain't in the game plan.
JAY DALLAS
Well, Mr Raggo. It's in mine.
WADE RAGGO
God. Your gonna get us all fuckin'
killed. I'm outta 'ere.
JUDY WANG
Wade, come on. Don't be like this.
Please. We need to stick together
as a team. It's not good for the
mission.
WADE RAGGO
I'm takin' long walk around this
junk pile. If yea need me. Call me.
JUDY WANG
Captain? Shouldn't we do something?
JAY DALLAS
Let him go, Miss Wang. We have
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 17
JAY DALLAS
Mr.Kash, how's she looking?
DALE KASH
All major systems are functioning
as normal. It's safe to remove
space gear. Communications though,
are down.
JAY DALLAS
We need them restored ASAP.
DALE KASH
I'll get right on it.
JAY DALLAS
OK, Miss Wang, you head down and
get medical room in order. We'll
need it in case of emergency.
JAY DALLAS
Oh and Miss Wang, don't concern
self too much with Mr. Raggo.
He'll come around eventually.
They always do.
Wade Raggo back pressed hard against the cold wall. Helmet
in one hand. Looking down at the floor. He sighs.
JUDY WANG
Wade, you OK?
WADE RAGGO
No, I'm not.
JUDY WANG
WADE! Please. Don't do this.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 18
Dale Kash removes his helmet and back pack. Slips off
space suit, placing them a pile on the floor.
DALE KASH
What are you going to do, captain?
JAY DALLAS
Me? Well Mr. Kash, I have a
personal matter to attend to in
the filing room.
Dale Kash removes a tool bag from the back pack, wandering
over to Comms. Computer. Taking out crow bar. Pulls apart
the paneling underneath. Wires, circuit boards everywhere.
DALE KASH
All righty. Let's see what the
problem is.
LUKE VELO
This... is gonna take awhile.
DALE KASH
(on the radio)
Hey Luke. You having better luck
with the engines than I am with
the Comms Computer?
CUT TO:
LUKE VELO
(on the radio)
How bad is it your end?
DALE KASH
(on the radio)
Tons of wires, burnt circuit
boards, you?
LUKE VELO
(on the radio)
You've got it easy. I've got
wires, circuit board AND damn
frozen pipes!
DALE KASH
(on the radio)
Fancy a race? See who can get
finished first? I of course beat
you on the last mission, remember?
WADE RAGGO
Ah. The fourth deck. D deck. The
one we don't want to concern our
selves with, huh? Well screw you,
Dallas.
WADE RAGGO
Yo! Are you with the crew? Hey!
WADE RAGGO
Scared the livin' shit outta me.
LUKE VELO
What the...?
LUKE VELO
Argh!
WADE RAGGO
Lets see what this bitch is
carryin'.
Wade Raggo whacks the red button. The door shoots open.
He steps through into.
WADE RAGGO
Now, this is what I'd call beauty.
WADE RAGGO
What the...?
WADE RAGGO
Fuck me! Look at this shit. I
knew this fuckin' thing was trouble.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 22
WADE RAGGO
This is one fucked up ship.
Wade Raggo steps back inside the corridor, taking one last
look, Shaking his head in disbelief. The door slams shut.
JAY DALLAS
Ah. Here we go. The Captain's diary.
CAPTAIN BASSETT
January 12th - Arrived on G700.
Iron Ore loaded up. Weird scream
heard on radio approach. When
questioned crew on G700 they say
a solar wind must have caused it.
CAPTAIN BASSETT
February 17th - Crew member taken
sick. Sores appeared on his face.
Eyes dilated. Unfortunately he
died several hours later.
CAPTAIN BASSETT
March 21st - More crew members
taken ill. Same symptoms. Fearing
further infection. All non-
essential crew reassigned to
quarters.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 23
CAPTAIN BASSETT
April 3rd - Billy Kent arranged
rebellion. They tear apart the
ship. I managed to keep it under
control. Billy Kent placed in
living quarters three for the
duration of the trip.
JAY DALLAS
Well I never. Little Billy, the
rebel.
JAY DALLAS
Living quarters three, huh?
He locates it.
JAY DALLAS
Bingo.
JUDY WANG
Oh. What in god's name happened
in here?
Judy Wang creeps over to the table with the body on it.
She survey's the room once more. She clutches a clump of
sheet in her hand.
JUDY WANG
Let's see what I've got here.
JUDY WANG
Eeww. Gross.
She leans over. Grabs the head. She feels the oily skin.
Hair falls out. She shakes her head.
JUDY WANG
God. What happened to you?
JUDY WANG
Well. At least you still have
your teeth.
Med Zombie sits up. Stares at her. Then snarls with delight.
She lifts her leg up. Leans over. With a last gasp. It's
now or never. Just grips the bowl in her fingertips. With
a fury slams it hard onto the head of Med Zombie.
JUDY WANG
Oh. God. Oh. God.
Judy Wang steps out. Back leans against far wall. She
bursts into tears. Crouching down with fear. She gets on
the two way radio and screams.
WADE RAGGO
Judy? You OK, baby?
WADE RAGGO
Hang on, sweet thing. I'm comin'!
CUT TO:
WADE RAGGO
It's OK, baby. I'm here now.
JUDY WANG
Thank you, wade.
WADE RAGGO
What's with the cryin' anyway?
JUDY WANG
I swear Wade, there's something
weird going on. I just had the
biggest fright of my life. The
body came alive. Grabbed my
throat. Almost fucking killed me.
I was so scared.
WADE RAGGO
You serious? You alright?
JUDY WANG
I'm fine now. Just happened so
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 26
WADE RAGGO
My poor Judy.
WADE RAGGO
I've seen my fair bit of weird
shit aswell. Went snoppin' around
down D deck with captain twat
said we shouldn't...
JUDY WANG
Oh Wade. You didn't?
WADE RAGGO
Yep. First I swore I saw some guy
running down their but turned out
to be shit all. Then in the
containment bay, never seen so
much fuckin' blood. It was
everywhere.
Wade follows.
WADE RAGGO
This body, you were talkin' about.
It's still in there?
JUDY WANG
As far as I know.
WADE RAGGO
I wanna check it out. You comin'
in or stayin' out 'ere?
JUDY WANG
I'll come but I'm staying behind
you.
WADE RAGGO
Fine by me.
Wade Raggo smacks the open button. The door slips open.
He heads in. Closely followed by Judy Wang.
WADE RAGGO
Damn. What a fuckin' dump.
Where's this body?
JUDY WANG
Over there. On that table.
WADE RAGGO
Looks dead to me.
JUDY WANG
You sure? I thought it was dead,
too. Then it tried to strangle me.
Wade Raggo smacks Med Zombie in the face with his fist.
WADE RAGGO
Defiantly dead.
JUDY WANG
I'm still scared.
WADE RAGGO
Don't worry, baby. I'll stay 'ere
with ya. I've got nothin' better
to do.
JUDY WANG
Thank you Wade.
WADE RAGGO
No problem. I'd better let
Captain Jackass know.
WADE RAGGO
(on the radio)
Hey, captain ass.
JAY DALLAS
(on the radio)
I'd prefer Captain or Mr. Dallas.
No need for these childish
remarks. Your a grown man.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 28
JAY DALLAS
(to himself)
Foolish man.
CUT TO:
JUDY WANG
What are you going to say, Wade?
WADE RAGGO
I'll just tell the jerk about all
this weird shit that's goin' on.
And just confirm that I'll be
down 'ere helping you.
JUDY WANG
That seems OK.
JAY DALLAS
Ah. Mr. Raggo and Miss Wang. What
seems to be the problem?
WADE RAGGO
I'll tell ya what's wrong. This
place ain't nothin' but trouble.
I've seen some weird shit and so
has her.
JUDY WANG
The body came alive and strangled
me. I almost died.
JAY DALLAS
Really? How odd. You OK now, Miss
Wang?
WADE RAGGO
She is now. I don't like this
shit one bit. I was down in D
Deck...
JAY DALLAS
That area is forbidden. You
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 29
WADE RAGGO
Don't worry your ass too much.
I'm stayin' 'ere with Judy.
Someone has too. Your too busy
prancing around like a prat to care.
JAY DALLAS
For your information. I do care.
I don't plan to lose any crew on
this mission. And I would prefer
Mr. Raggo if your could address
me properly in future, please.
WADE RAGGO
Whatever.
JAY DALLAS
I'm glad to see your alright.
Miss Wang.
JUDY WANG
Thank you, captain.
JAY DALLAS
If you like Mr. Raggo with you
here. Then that would be fine by me.
JUDY WANG
Oh. I would. Thank you.
JAY DALLAS
You quite welcome. I'll be in
living quarters three checking
up on a few things. Don't
hesitate to call if there's a
problem, Miss Wang.
JAY DALLAS
And as for you Mr. Raggo. I'm
here wether you like or not. So
I would appreciate it if you
would drop the attitude.
JUDY WANG
He has a point. It's getting
tiresome now.
WADE RAGGO
Please, baby. Don't start.
JUDY WANG
I was just saying...
WADE RAGGO
...Well don't. You want me to go?
Cos I will if ya don't drop this
shit.
JUDY WANG
Fine. Have it YOUR way.
DALE KASH
Well the fault's defiantly not
at this end. Must be the comms.
satellite out of line.
DALE KASH
(on the radio)
Hey luke, buddy. How things down
where you are?
Just static.
DALE KASH
(on the radio)
Luke? Come on man. I don't have
time to play around.
DALE KASH
(on the radio)
Don't make me come down there.
Still static.
DALE KASH
(to himself)
That jerk.
DALE KASH
What the hell. I can't do
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 31
JAY DALLAS
Oh. Billy.
JAY DALLAS
Oh. Dear. If only I'd knew you
felt this way. I might have been
able to clear the air.
JAY DALLAS
Tenth of November. John and Jay
head out of routine rescue
mission. I used to worry. But no
more. I know he'll be safe. He
always is. Besides Jay's a great
captain. He knows best. Can't
wait to see them both again.
JAY DALLAS
Oh. God.
JAY DALLAS
John. Hold on. I'm coming!
JOHN KENT
It's too late for me, Jay. Leave.
Get the crew off. That's the
priority. I'm done for. Tell me
brother, I'll be watching over him.
JAY DALLAS
I can't damn it.
Jay Dallas tries to reach over. But the heat from the fire
is too intense. The room filling up with smoke. Debris
continues to fall. Jay Dallas backs off.
JAY DALLAS
I won't forget you.
JOHN KENT
See you around, friend.
JAY DALLAS
Fourteenth of November. That
bastard. he killed my brother. I
hate him. I hate him so much.
Says it was for the sake of the
mission. Will he ever learn to
put friends first? I wished he
had died as well. I'll get revenge,
I swear.
JAY DALLAS
Dallas calls it quits -- After
losing a friend Jay Dallas has
quit the Space Rescue Squad
vowing NEVER to return.
JAY DALLAS
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 33
JAY DALLAS
I'll never go back -- The words
echoed by senior captain Jay
Dallas after losing a friend in
routine mission. Jay Dallas
famous for the motto -- I never
lose a member of my crew -- now
seems to have back fired leaving
him no alternative but to quit.
The room is silent and dark. The zombies and Luke Velo's
body has vanished. But his backpack and torch still remain.
DALE KASH
Luke? You here?
DALE KASH
(to himself)
Why's it so dark?
Squints his eyes trying make things out. But can't see a
thing. He stumbles around. Trying to find a switch of some
sort.
DALE KASH
(to himself)
I'm surprised the lights in here
don't work. I'm so sure they
showed up as working on the
computer. I swear.
DALE KASH
What's this?
DALE KASH
Finally.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 34
DALE KASH
Here we go.
DALE KASH
LUKE!
DALE KASH
LUKE! LUKE! Where the fuck are you?
DALE KASH
(on the radio)
Luke's gone! I can't find him
anywhere. Get down here. NOW!
JAY DALLAS
I will NOT lose a crew member
again. Not now, not ever.
He storms out.
CUT TO:
JAY DALLAS
It's me, Mr. Kash.
DALE KASH
Sorry, captain.
JAY DALLAS
What's all the commotion about?
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 35
DALE KASH
It's Luke. He's gone.
JAY DALLAS
Don't panic, Mr Kash. I'm sure
he's around somewhere. I'll
gather everyone together and
we'll search the ship.
DALE KASH
Why hasn't he used the radio?
DALE KASH
Captain?
JAY DALLAS
It's a big ship. The radio
doesn't work in all areas. Maybe
he's lost in one of those.
DALE KASH
Really? You think?
DALE KASH
Ok then. I feel better now.
JAY DALLAS
Round everyone up on the bridge.
DALE KASH
Aye, aye captain.
JAY DALLAS
God, it's happening again. Got
to stay focused. He MAY be alive.
JAY DALLAS
Got to stay together. Get the
ship back, crew intact.
Everything will be fine.
JAY DALLAS
It's fine.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 36
He exits.
Dale Kash, Judy Wang and Wade Raggo stand around mumbling
among themselves.
Silence falls.
JAY DALLAS
Listen up crew. Mr. Velo has gone
walkabouts. I want a thorough
search of the ship. He's here and
I want him found. I don't intend
to start losing anymore crew
members.
JAY DALLAS
Is there a problem, Mr. Raggo?
WADE RAGGO
Damn right there's a fucking
problem. You've fucked up,
haven't ya?
JAY DALLAS
I don't understand what your
getting at Mr. Raggo. I haven't
'fucked' up. As you put it.
WADE RAGGO
Cut the shit.
JUDY WANG
Wade. Don't do this.
DALE KASH
Hey, chill out.
WADE RAGGO
Luke's gone AWOL because you
screwed up. You screwed up here.
You screwed up on your last mission.
JAY DALLAS
I didn't screw up. Mr. Raggo. I
made a judgmental decision. And
I stick by it.
JUDY WANG
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 37
WADE RAGGO
(to Judy Wang)
Your right. I'm sorry. Luke's a
good friend of mine. That's all.
Then HE shows up and Luke goes
missing.
JAY DALLAS
The guy I lost was a friend too.
You think it was easy to let him
just die? It wasn't. It still
haunts me to this day. But I
carry on with the job that needs
to be done.
JAY DALLAS
You have been nothing but trouble
Mr. Raggo. I have NEVER in all
my years seen anyone quite like you.
WADE RAGGO
It that a compliment?
JAY DALLAS
I understand your anxiety. I get
brought in unannounced and take
over. Your scared. Frightened.
But I'm here to do a job, Mr.
Raggo. We all are. So put this
childish angst behind you and
let's find Mr. Velo.
WADE RAGGO
Fine. But this isn't over between
us. Not by a long shot.
WADE RAGGO
We'll search C deck.
DALE KASH
Just to let you know, captain. I
trust you. Shall we go find Luke
then?
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 38
JAY DALLAS
After you, Mr. Kash. After you.
JUDY WANG
Wade...
WADE RAGGO
...No. I don't want to talk about
it.
JUDY WANG
I'm just curious to know why you
keep having ago at Jay. He's done
nothing wrong.
WADE RAGGO
He's an asshole.
JUDY WANG
That's hardly a good reason.
WADE RAGGO
Well it's good enough for me.
JUDY WANG
But...
WADE RAGGO
...No more. We're to find Luke,
alright?
JUDY WANG
Fine.
WADE RAGGO
Good.
Wade Raggo taps the control panel. The door slides open.
They both enter.
WADE RAGGO
Jesus. Look at this place.
JUDY WANG
I don't think Luke's in here.
WADE RAGGO
Your right.
CUT TO:
DALE KASH
Why would Luke be down here?
JAY DALLAS
Well...
JAY DALLAS
...We didn't bring that much
equipment with us due to the
space restrictions. Maybe he
needed some tool we didn't bring
so he probably went off looking
for it.
DALE KASH
Why didn't he radio us?
JAY DALLAS
Ah, Mr Kash you are naive. When
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 40
JAY DALLAS
...Your the technical guy, Mr.
Kash. I'm sure you understand.
DALE KASH
Yeah. They are a bit cheap,
aren't they? Mass produced in
large factories to save money.
DALE KASH
Damn budget cuts.
JAY DALLAS
Indeed. Indeed. Shall we proceed
on, Mr. Kash?
P.O.V Air Vent Zombie No.1 watches Jay Dallas and Dale
Kash walk on down the corridor. Blissfully unaware of his
presence.
CUT TO:
JUDY WANG
Wow. Look at all these boxes.
WADE RAGGO
This is hopeless. We're NEVER
gonna find Luke.
JUDY WANG
Don't be so negative, Wade.
WADE RAGGO
Screw this!
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 41
JUDY WANG
Wade! Get a grip. Please.
WADE RAGGO
Fuck it, Judy.
JUDY WANG
Losing your temper isn't helping
the search.
WADE RAGGO
HE'S FUCKING DEAD!
JUDY WANG
How dare you suggest...
WADE RAGGO
...Suggest? It's the truth, Judy.
Open your fuckin' eyes.
JUDY WANG
I don't believe that.
WADE RAGGO
I've known Luke for a long time.
He's not the kind of guy who just
fuckin' wanders off.
JUDY WANG
He wasn't supposed to fix the
engines so he didn't have the
tools. So obviously he's wandered
off to find them. It's simple
logic, Wade.
WADE RAGGO
EXACTLY! He wasn't supposed to
fix the engines. So why did he?
WADE RAGGO
LOOK AT ME JUDY! Why did he?
JUDY WANG
The Captain told...
WADE RAGGO
...Yes. That jerk.
JUDY WANG
Wade, What the...?
WADE RAGGO
He NEVER told us, why? Did he?
He NEVER once said why Luke
should fix the engines.
WADE RAGGO
We were here to find the crew,
weren't we?
WADE RAGGO
WEREN'T WE?
JUDY WANG
YES. Alright.
WADE RAGGO
Well, DO YOU SEE THEM ANYWHERE? HUH?
JUDY WANG
Wade. Don't.
WADE RAGGO
What possible use could it be
getting this fucking ship home
straight away? Yeah, they're
usually tow them home after a
couple of months, but now? During
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 43
JUDY WANG
The captain said...
WADE RAGGO
...FUCK WHAT HE SAID! He's not
the captain, I AM!
JUDY WANG
Wade. Would you please get a grip
on yourself.
WADE RAGGO
Don't you dare start with me.
I've had enough.
WADE RAGGO
(on the radio)
Jay Dallas, you mother fucking
whinny little shit. Get everyone
back to the bridge, NOW!
CUT TO:
JAY DALLAS
(on the radio)
I beg your pardon, Mr. Raggo?
WADE RAGGO
(on the radio)
You heard me. Get your ass back
to the bridge. We ALL need to
have a little talk.
Jay Dallas and Dale Kash stand shocked and silent. They
both look at each other. Neither one knowing what to say.
DALE KASH
I guess, we should...
JAY DALLAS
...Yes. We should. I'm very
interested in what Mr. Raggo has
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 44
to say.
Jay Dallas and Dale Kash turn around. They stride back
down the corridor.
JUDY WANG
Come on, calm down.
WADE RAGGO
No. He's pushed me too far. Now
he's gonna fuckin' get it.
The door cranks open. Dale Kash wanders in. Quiet and
muted. Head focused on the floor.
Judy Wang grabs his arm. Trying her best to pull him back.
DALE KASH
Wade, what the...?
WADE RAGGO
Where is he?
DALE KASH
Who?
WADE RAGGO
The captain you fuckin' shit.
Where is he?
Dale Kash lowers his hands and sighs. Looking at the floor.
DALE KASH
Dude, what the hell is goin' on?
I'm you buddy. Please don't talk
to me like that.
WADE RAGGO
I'm sorry, man. Things aren't
making any sense right now. Where
is Jay?
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 45
DALE KASH
He's now coming.
WADE RAGGO
Good.
WADE RAGGO
I didn't mean to insult you, man.
Jay Dallas strides in. Head held up. Smile on his face.
JAY DALLAS
Now, Mr. Raggo? What seems to be
the problem?
DALE KASH
Hey, hey!
WADE RAGGO
You fucking bastard! You fucker!
Tell us what's goin' on, Jay.
Tell us the fucking truth!
JUDY WANG
Wade. Please.
Wade and Jay eye to eye. Jay Dallas just smiles. Remaining
perfectly still.
JAY DALLAS
Mr. Raggo. I haven't the faintest
clue what your on about.
WADE RAGGO
You damn well know what I'm on
about. This whole thing is fucked
up. Why are we here? Why are you
here?
JUDY WANG
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 46
DALE KASH
Come on, Wade. This isn't like
you. Get a grip.
WADE RAGGO
Spill it, Jay.
JAY DALLAS
I was hired by the iron ore
company. And I accepted because
a friend of mine happens to be
onboard. I explained this at the
beginning.
WADE RAGGO
Bullshit!
Jay Dallas raises his voice for the first time. The
pressure starting to get to him. Sweat gathers on his
forehead.
JAY DALLAS
THAT IS THE TRUTH!
WADE RAGGO
Come on, Jay. This ship has been
bothering me ever since we landed
on it. What's so special about
it? Why bring it back to earth
so quickly? That's not proper
procedure.
DALE KASH
Captain?
DALE KASH
I'm with Wade on this one. I
don't like taking sides but Wade
makes a valid point. What is
going on?
WADE RAGGO
Judy?
Judy Wang looks at him. She shakes her head. Tears gather
in her eyes.
JUDY WANG
I don't wanna be apart of this.
Don't force me to choose Wade.
DON'T fuckin' make me choose, OK?
WADE RAGGO
You gonna tell us what we want?
Or are we gonna stand around here?
JAY DALLAS
What do you want from me, Mr.
Raggo, Mr. Kash?
WADE RAGGO
Just the truth.
JAY DALLAS
Fine, Mr. Raggo...
DALE KASH
...Why are we here, really?
JAY DALLAS
Mr. Kash. We are here to rescue
the crew of this ship.
WADE RAGGO
Dale, please. I'll ask the
questions.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 48
WADE RAGGO
Now, Jay. Why you? There are
loads of others who are just as
experienced as you are. So, why
did the iron ore company choose
you? Huh?
JAY DALLAS
You want hear it? Mr. Raggo. You
REALLY want to hear it?
WADE RAGGO
Oh hell yeah.
JAY DALLAS
I admit it. I screwed up. My last
mission. When John Kent died. I
couldn't handle it anymore. So I
quit. But the quilt. Too much to
handle. I fell deep down into
despair. After that, I lost
everything. My home. My family.
I became reckless. The only way
I could squash the pain was
through alcohol. I was on the
brink. But despite that, I still
tried my hardest to make things
right between me and Billy. His
brother. But he wouldn't have any
of it. Blamed me for everything.
Still does.
JAY DALLAS
Everyone I knew shut me out.
Nobody respected me anymore. They
shunned me. I just wanted to make
things right. I was desperate. I
was buried in debt. Then, they
approached me...
WADE RAGGO
...They? You mean, the guys from
the iron ore company.
JAY DALLAS
Yes. They said one of their ships
had broken down. They wanted me
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 49
DALE KASH
...Hang on. Special? How'd you
mean, special?
JAY DALLAS
They didn't say. I was so
desperate for the job. I didn't
see fit to question them. They
offered me money. Large sums. If
I brought the ship back safely.
When I learned Billy on on board.
I knew this was a chance to prove
myself once again.
WADE RAGGO
I knew it. This was never about
the crew. This was all about the
shit in the cargo bay. No wonder
you sent Luke off to fix the
engines. It's YOUR fault he's
missing.
DALE KASH
Well, I never.
WADE RAGGO
So here we are. Now what, captain?
JAY DALLAS
I'll cut you all in. Half a
million each. All we have to do
is get this ship home. It's simple.
JUDY WANG
What!? No way.
WADE RAGGO
Hang on a minute, Judy.
JUDY WANG
Oh, Wade. How dare you. You guys
want a piece of this? Then fine.
Go ahead. Cut yourselves a deal.
But I'm not having none of it.
If you want me. I'll be in the
medical room.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 50
WADE RAGGO
Now, come on, Judy. Don't be like
that.
JUDY WANG
Fuck you Wade. Fuck you. First
you were pissed off over the
deceit. But oh wait, once it
involves money, you now want to
cut yourself a piece. I thought
you cared. I guess I was wrong.
JUDY WANG
I thought I could trust you. I
thought you were a decent,
honourable person. Heck, I even
stood up for you. Now I wished I
hadn't bothered.
JUDY WANG
Gentleman, I hope your all happy.
DALE KASH
Must be PMS.
JAY DALLAS
Ok. Let's get things together.
We need the comms. fixed, ASAP.
And of course we need to get the
engines going, if we are to get
back to Earth.
DALE KASH
No problem, Captain. Leave the
comms to me. I'll have those
babies fixed in no time. I think
the dish is damaged. I'll have
to do a space walk but I reckon
I could get them up and running.
JAY DALLAS
Do what you have to do, Mr. Kash.
Mr Raggo?
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 51
WADE RAGGO
Alright. First things first. I
still don't like you but I need
the cash so yeah, I'll sort the
engines out.
JAY DALLAS
Excellent. Sorry I had to hide
this from you in the beginning.
But I was concerned about how you
would react.
DALE KASH
So is this it? Is this why you
accepted this mission? For the
money?
JAY DALLAS
No, no, Mr. Kash. I still have
personal reasons, like I
mentioned earlier. A friend's
brother is aboard. I want to know
what happened to him.
WADE RAGGO
Whatever. Let's just get this
shit done so we can go home and
collect our fucking money.
DALE KASH
What about, Judy?
JAY DALLAS
If she wants no part, then
there's nothing we can do for
Miss. Wang.
WADE RAGGO
I might be able to talk her round
later on.
JAY DALLAS
Alright, gentlemen. We have work
to do. Let's get this ship home.
Wade Raggo dashes out of the room. Eager to get things going.
Dale Kash Heads over and puts on his space suit and helmet.
He slips on his back pack. Then stomps out the door.
JUDY WANG
Bingo!
JUDY WANG
Ah. Here we go.
JUDY WANG
I've never seen anything like
this. How strange.
JUDY WANG
Very, very interesting.
JUDY WANG
Oh god. This is going to take
forever. I wonder if there's any
food on this ship?
Judy wanders out the medical room. The bar on the computer
screen reads -- 100% COMPLETE. The results of the analysis
appear on the screen. It reads -- WARNING BLOOD SAMPLE
CONTAINS UNKNOWN LIFE FORM.
WADE RAGGO
Let's see what we have here.
SFX: Footsteps.
WADE RAGGO
Dale? Jay? Judy? Is that you?
Silence.
WADE RAGGO
That was weird.
SFX: Footsteps
WADE RAGGO
What the fuck...!?
WADE RAGGO
Holy shit!
WADE RAGGO
Suck on this.
CUT TO:
JUDY WANG
Hmmm... This must be it.
CUT TO:
JUDY WANG
What the...?
JUDY WANG
Luke! Oh my god.
Tears roll down her cheeks. She checks for a pulse. Nothing.
JUDY WANG
Oh god. I can't believe it.
JUDY WANG
Oh luke. Why did this have to
happen to you?
On the ceiling two bulbs. A red one and a green one. The
red light is lit.
He taps the green button. The green light comes on. Steam
shoots into the room. A small buzzer goes off. Gradually
Dale Kash floats around. He clings onto a handle on the
ceiling. Slowly the airlock door slides open. The darkness
of space is revealed.
CUT TO:
JAY DALLAS
I wonder how's Dale getting on,
I better check.
JAY DALLAS
(on the radio)
Dale, how's things going? You
found the dish yet?
JAY DALLAS
(on the radio)
Well keep searching. Good luck.
DALE KASH
Bingo. Got ya.
DALE KASH
It's knackered. Completely
fucking knackered.
DALE KASH
What the...?
DALE KASH
Shit, shit!
CUT TO:
WADE RAGGO
You! I want a word with you!
JAY DALLAS
Ah. Mr. Raggo. How's those
engines coming.
WADE RAGGO
Oh, I'll tell ya how their doin'
alright. You can bet your ass on
that. Where's dale? he needs to
be here.
JAY DALLAS
Mr. Kash is off fixing the comms
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 58
WADE RAGGO
You'll fucking know soon enough.
As far as I'm concerned, I quit.
I've fucking had enough of you,
and your stinking orders. Fuck
the money. Fuck this ship. I want
no part of it anymore.
JAY DALLAS
What? Mr. Raggo surely you can't
mean this. We would had an
agreement.
WADE RAGGO
FUCK IT!
JAY DALLAS
Mr. Raggo, would please tell me
what the hell is going on?
WADE RAGGO
First we get Dale in. Then I'll
tell ya. He needs to hear this too.
DALE KASH
Shit. Why did I ever come here?
DALE KASH
(on the radio)
Gladly.
CUT TO:
INT. BRIDGE - A DECK
JAY DALLAS
Ah. Mr. Kash. Welcome back. How
did it go?
DALE KASH
The dish is buggered beyond
repair. But you wouldn't believe
what I saw up there. Dead bodies
of the crew just floating around.
WADE RAGGO
Good now that we're all here,
I'll inform Dale what I've
already told you. I quit. Fuck
the deal, fuck the money.
DALE KASH
What? Why?
JAY DALLAS
Yes, Mr. Raggo, please inform us
why.
WADE RAGGO
Fucking zombies, that's why. I
was attacked. I managed to fight
them off but they're tough little
fuckers.
DALE KASH
Zombies?
JAY DALLAS
Don't be silly, Mr Raggo.
WADE RAGGO
I'm fucking serious, you little
shit. Judy reported that a corpse
came alive. I believe her now.
This ship is like a bad dream.
Only this time, there's no waking
up.
DALE KASH
Where is Judy Anyway?
WADE RAGGO
She's In Medical room. I say
let's go get her and get off this
rust bucket.
JAY DALLAS
Afraid Not, Mr. Raggo. We still
have a mission to do.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 60
WADE RAGGO
Mission over. It's pretty clear
the crew are all dead. Dale's
seen the bodies, floating around
space.
JAY DALLAS
And what of our agreement?
WADE RAGGO
Fuck it.
JAY DALLAS
Mr. Kash, may I ask where do you
stand on this?
DALE KASH
I'm afraid I'm with Wade on this
one captain. I've seen a lot of
weird shit. More than I want to
see. I say mission over. I've
seen the bodies. Nobody's alive.
Time to go home.
WADE RAGGO
That settles it then. We go get
Judy then mission over.
JAY DALLAS
As captain of this mission, I say
it not over, Mr Raggo. We still
have work to do.
WADE RAGGO
Tough shit, captain. The majority
have spoken. Come on Dale, Let's
go get Judy.
DALE KASH
Sorry captain.
JAY DALLAS
Fine. Have your way.
JAY DALLAS
Shall we?
WADE RAGGO
Judy? Where's she gone?
DALE KASH
Maybe she's gone for a walk. I'm
sure she'll be right back.
JAY DALLAS
Your plan now Mr. Raggo?
WADE RAGGO
We wait. She'll be back.
JAY DALLAS
That's fine then. We wait.
CUT TO:
CUT TO:
CUT TO:
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 62
DALE KASH
What's going on?
JAY DALLAS
It's the engines. They've started
up somehow, Mr. Kash.
WADE RAGGO
I knew this ship was trouble. And
Judy isn't back yet. I'm getting
concerned. I'm going wait outside
for her.
JAY DALLAS
Very well Mr. Raggo.
Jay turns his back on Dale when suddenly Med Zombie No.2
grabs Dale by the throat. He gasps for breaths.
DALE KASH
Help! Help me.
WADE RAGGO
Oh shit. Dale!
JAY DALLAS
Oh My God. Mr. Kash.
DALE KASH
Oh god, oh god.
JAY DALLAS
You alright, Mr. Kash?
WADE RAGGO
I FUCKIN' TOLD YOU SO!!!!! Zombies.
JAY DALLAS
Alright calm down Mr Raggo. We
believe you now.
DALE KASH
What are we going to do?
WADE RAGGO
Good question. Any suggestions
Captain?
JAY DALLAS
I say we hold out until back up
arrives. The ship is in motion.
Once we get closer enough to
Earth, inform them of the
situation and let them deal with it.
WADE RAGGO
Are you out your fuckin' mind?
Hold out? Get this junk heap to
earth, Are you kiddin' me?
JAY DALLAS
May I ask, Mr. Raggo, what YOU
would suggest.
WADE RAGGO
Certainly. I suggest, we fight
back. There's a weapons storage
room on B deck. Just down a few
corridors from here. I suggest
we load up and let rip.
JAY DALLAS
And as for the ship?
DALE KASH
Blow it up.
WADE RAGGO
Good thinkin', Dale.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 64
JAY DALLAS
I suppose, Mr. Raggo, I have no
choice in the matter BUT to go
along with your little plan.
WADE RAGGO
Exactly. Let's go.
CUT TO:
WADE RAGGO
Holy shit, look at all these
fuckin' guns.
DALE KASH
There's enough for a small army.
JAY DALLAS
I still don't see why we are here.
We should find a place to hide
and wait. This is only going to
lead to more trouble.
WADE RAGGO
Shut the fuck up. Load up dale.
We going to need all the guns and
ammo we can carry.
WADE RAGGO
Now this is more like it.
WADE RAGGO
Yeah. This is it.
JAY DALLAS
Oh no, Mr. Raggo. Take that off.
WADE RAGGO
Shut up dick.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 65
DALE KASH
Sweet piece of kit.
WADE RAGGO
You hang on to these.
JAY DALLAS
This is getting out of hand. We
don't need this. As captain of
this mission, I demand that you
stop right now. Mr. Kash, Mr.
Raggo, stop this now.
WADE RAGGO
Sorry, captain dick. We've
revolted. As far as I'm concerned,
your no longer in charge.
JAY DALLAS
Very well. I shall leave you now.
As it seems, I am no longer
wanted. I wish you all the best
of luck in your quest.
WADE RAGGO
Hey, captain.
WADE RAGGO
Trust me, your gonna be needing
this.
WADE RAGGO
Take care.
JAY DALLAS
Thank you Mr. Raggo.
DALE KASH
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 66
WADE RAGGO
OK, we're ready. Let's go huntin'
Wade and Dale enter the corridor. They catch sight of the
Zombies heading towards them.
WADE RAGGO
Get ready, here they come!
Zombies walk right into it. They burst into flames. They
moan loudly. The fire burns away the flesh. Thick black
smoke fills the corridor. Some tumble to the floor in a
crumpled heap.
Dale and Wade step over the fallen bodies and enter the
dining room.
Wade and Dale enter. Guns raised, armed and ready. Dale
spots something in the distance, he runs over. It's luke's
body.
DALE KASH
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
WADE RAGGO
Oh god.
DALE KASH
Why? Why? Why?
WADE RAGGO
It's OK mate. Luke's probably in
a better place. You've got to
move on. He's gone now.
DALE KASH
Your right. He's gone. It's
just... I never got to say goodbye.
WADE RAGGO
Then say it.
DALE KASH
OK then. Goodbye Luke.
WADE RAGGO
Let's get out of here!
DALE KASH
Agreed.
They dash for the door. Firing at the zombies as they go.
Wade and Dale dash out. They gasp for breath. A zombie
laying in the crumpled heap of bodies grabs Dale leg. He
shakes it off and opens fire on it.
DALE KASH
MOTHER-FUCKER!!!!!
WADE RAGGO
Calm down, dude.
DALE KASH
That's for Luke.
WADE RAGGO
We've got to get out of here.
This has gone to far. We don't
have the resources to destroy
them all.
DALE KASH
Maybe we do after all. I remember
seeing some C4 in the weapons
room. Maybe we could use it to
blow up the ship.
WADE RAGGO
Great idea Dale. But what about Jay?
DALE KASH
Should we inform him?
WADE RAGGO
I say fuck him. He's the one that
got us into this mess. I blame
him for Luke's death. Let him go
down with the ship. He is the
captain after all.
DALE KASH
I'm not so sure. Can we really
leave him behind?
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 69
WADE RAGGO
Fuck him.
DALE KASH
OK. Fuck him.
WADE RAGGO
Let's go get that C4
Jay walks down the corridor looking lost. His eyes still
fixated on the floor. Griping the hand gun tightly. A
voice echoes around. It's Billy Kent.
BILLY KENT
Jay. Oh Jay. Guess who.
JAY DALLAS
Billy? Is that you? Thank god
I've found you.
BILLY KENT
You don't get it do you Jay?
JAY DALLAS
We have to go. I came to rescue
you.
BILLY KENT
Fool! You killed my brother!
JAY DALLAS
No! It was an accident, I swear.
BILLY KENT
Your the one who needs rescuing
Jay. I'm in charge now. This ship
is mine. And my army will kill
your friends.
JAY DALLAS
What? What you talking about?
JAY DALLAS
What's going on?
Billy laughs.
BILLY KENT
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 70
JAY DALLAS
No. I can't let you do that.
BILLY KENT
Nothing can stop me.
Billy laughs.
Wade and Dale enter. They scan the room looking for the
explosives. Dale sees them. They in a green box near the
grenades. They rush over. They pull off the lid. They grab
themselves a couple each.
WADE RAGGO
We need to put them on the main
supporting structures of the ship.
DALE KASH
OK.
WADE RAGGO
Let's spilt up. I'll take the c
deck section and you take the b
deck.
DALE KASH
OK. Let's get to it.
WADE RAGGO
Let's get to it.
Jay runs down the corridor. He stops and gasps for breath.
He then gets on the radio.
JAY DALLAS
(on the radio)
Guys. Come in guys.
Wade and Dale stop. They hear Jay's voice crackle through
the speaker.
WADE RAGGO
Ignore him.
DALE KASH
But...
WADE RAGGO
...I said ignore him. We have
work to do.
WADE RAGGO
Come on. We have work to do.
Wade runs off down the corridor. Dale stands and thinks
for a moment then runs off down the other way.
JAY DALLAS
Damn it. I have to find them and
warn them about Billy. This ship
must be stopped.
Wade bursts in. He grabs his shotgun and charges down the
corridor opening fire. Shots blow the head off a zombie,
blood sprays against the walls. The lifeless body crumples
to the floor. Wade pumps the shotgun and opens fire again.
opens fire. This time it blows the head clean off. Blood
splatters against the wall. Wade switches over to his AK47
and blast the zombies. They all collapse to the floor in
a crumpled heap.
Dale sets the time for ten minutes. More zombies appear
In front of him. He gets up and reaches into his pocket
pulling out a grenade. He pulls out the pin and gets ready
to throw it when the zombie grabs Dale. He drops the
grenade to the floor.
DALE KASH
Argh! Oh shit.
DALE KASH
Captain, thank god. Help me.
JAY DALLAS
It's ok, Mr. Kash. I'm here.
DALE KASH
I have to tell you. We're blowing
up the ship.
JAY DALLAS
Excellent work Mr. Kash. That's
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 73
DALE KASH
I'm dying aren't I?
DALE KASH
I am.
DALE KASH
Tell my girlfriend I love her.
JAY DALLAS
I will, Mr. Kash. I will.
DALE KASH
Here take this. You'll need it.
JAY DALLAS
Thank you Mr. Kash.
DALE KASH
Plant it in the Iron Ore
Containment Bay. That should
finish the job.
DALE KASH
You'll probably need one of these
too.
JAY DALLAS
Thank you Mr. Kash.
WADE RAGGO
There, that should do it. One
more to go.
Thick metal beams run along the ceiling. Thick metal walls.
The paint peeling off them. Large cabinets in the middle.
Doors hanging off the hinges. Wires dangle and poke out
of them.
WADE RAGGO
There done. Time to get back to
the Moray shuttle.
He exits.
WADE RAGGO
JUDY!!! Your alive. Thank god.
JUDY WANG
Hello Wade. Missed me?
WADE RAGGO
Oh yes, very much so.
JUDY WANG
Don't come any closer.
WADE RAGGO
What? Why not?
JUDY WANG
I love you Wade.
WADE RAGGO
What the...?
JUDY WANG
I felt this way for a while now.
WADE RAGGO
I...I... don't know what to say.
JUDY WANG
There's nothing to say.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 75
WADE RAGGO
Argh!
Judy moves forward into the light. She has cuts and
bruises all over her. He skin is peeling away. She laughs.
JUDY WANG
There's nothing to say except die
Wade. You will become one of us.
And we can be together forever.
WADE RAGGO
Never. Your not Judy. The Judy I
know is long gone.
JUDY WANG
You taste good.
JUDY WANG
Now Wade. Time to die.
DALE KASH
You know, I always wanted to do
this. Ever since I was a little
kid. I've always been into space.
What about you?
JAY DALLAS
Me, Mr. Kash? I always wanted to
be an astronaut too. I remember
always being the leader of the
pack. I followed in the footsteps
of my father.
Jay stands up. He spins around looking for Billy but he's
nowhere to be seen. Billy laughs maniacally. Dale coughs.
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 76
DALE KASH
Goodbye captain.
JAY DALLAS
No, Mr Kash. Your gonna be fine.
Dale laughs.
DALE KASH
No, I'm not. I'm as good as dead.
Go on. You have a mission to do.
Kill him and destroy this ship.
For all of us.
JAY DALLAS
I don't want to leave you M.r
Kash. I made a promise after the
accident that I'd never lose
another crew member again.
DALE KASH
Luke's dead. Judy's missing. I'm
dying. You have to finish this.
Leave me, I'm dead.
JAY DALLAS
Goodbye Mr. Kash. It's been a
pleasure working with you.
DALE KASH
You too, Jay.
Dale coughs and splutters again. Jay turns and walks away.
Head bowed down.
Jay runs down it and approaches the door. When Wade and
Judy appear behind him. Wade now a zombie. He's gripping
a shotgun.
WADE RAGGO
JAY!!!
Jay Dallas spins round to face Wade and Judy. Judy grips
onto Wade's arm. They look at each other and kiss.
JAY DALLAS
Mr. Raggo. So good to see you.
WADE RAGGO
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 77
JAY DALLAS
What the...Mr. Raggo. Your...
WADE RAGGO
...Dead. That's right. We both
are. And so are you Jay.
Wade fires off a shot. It rushes past Jay and hits the
wall with a ping. Jay Ducks.
JAY DALLAS
Mr. Raggo, surely there must be
another way.
WADE RAGGO
Sorry Jay. You must die. You must
become one of us.
WADE RAGGO
You can't kill me that way. I'm
already dead.
WADE RAGGO
NOOOOO!! Judy. My baby.
He looks at Jay.
WADE RAGGO
Your gonna die now.
They both fly past. Pinging off the metal cabinet. Jay
fires off a shot from behind the cabinet. It flies past Wade.
Wade fires again but he's out of bullets. The gun just
clicks. Jay realising this is his chance stands up. Gun
pointed at Wade. Wade drops the gun to the floor. Jay
comes out from behind the cabinet and walks towards Wade.
JAY DALLAS
Pilgrim / DEAD SPACE / 78
Jay pulls the trigger but the gun just clicks. He's out
of bullets too. Wade laughs. He punches Jay in the face.
Jay stumbles back. Dropping the gun to the floor.
WADE RAGGO
Wrong. The game's up for YOU.
JAY DALLAS
If this is how you want it. Just
bring it.
Wade knocks him off and jumps to his feet. Jay does to.
They face each other moving around in a circle. Fists
raised. Wade takes a swing but Jay ducks it. Jay takes a
swing back hitting Wade in the face hard. Jay grabs the
shotgun off the floor. Wade laughs.
WADE RAGGO
It's empty.
JAY DALLAS
I know.
Jay uses the end and smashes Wade in the face. He drops
to his knees. Blood pouring down his face. Jay whack over
the back of the head. Wade falls face down. He screams.
JAY DALLAS
You know Mr. Raggo. I never
really liked you either.
BILLY KENT
Meet my army Jay.
He laughs.
BILLY KENT
You don't stand a chance against
me. Give it up. Become one of us.
Together we can take over the world.
JAY DALLAS
Never.
BILLY KENT
Very well. I'll just have to kill
you anyway.
He jumps down onto the iron ore and dashes over to Jay.
They stand face to face. Fists raised.
JAY DALLAS
The Billy I used to know is gone.
Your nothing.
BILLY KENT
I will kill you Jay. Just like
you did my brother.
JAY DALLAS
That was an accident. I never
wanted to leave him there.
Billy swings back hitting Jay on the nose. Blood runs out.
Billy laughs. Jay swings a right, left smacking Billy back.
Billy hits Jay in the stomach. Jay crouches over in pain.
Billy then delivers an uppercut sending Jay flying to the
ground. Landing hard on the iron ore. He rolls over onto
his stomach clutching his back.
JAY DALLAS
Argh.
JAY DALLAS
Arghhh!
Jay knocks him off. They both jump to their feet and face
each other. The zombies begin booing.
BILLY KENT
Give it up Jay. You can't win.
BILLY KENT
I am a god. Nothing will defeat me.
JAY DALLAS
Game's up, Billy. This ship is
doomed and so are you.
BILLY KENT
Never! I am invincible!
JAY DALLAS
Wrong!
bruised.
Jay grabs Billy's arm and swings him round face first into
the side of the containment bay. A cracking sound is heard
as Billy's nose is broken.
BILLY KENT
Argh!
JAY DALLAS
If your brother could see you now,
he'd be so ashamed of you.
BILLY KENT
Fuck my brother. I never cared
for him anyway.
BILLY KENT
Time to die Jay.
JAY DALLAS
Wrong again Billy.
Jay takes the grenade out of his pocket. He pulls out the
pin and throws it at Billy. Billy catches it. He stares
at it.
BILLY KENT
What the...?
Jay turns and dashes across the iron ore. Running as fast
as he can towards the ladder. He dives and grabs the
bottom step. As suddenly the grenade explodes. Sending
bits of Billy everywhere. It also blows a giant hole in
the side of the ship. Everything begins to get sucked out.
Debris and zombie fill the air as they are sucked out.
They moan and scream. Iron ore follows them out.
FADE OUT.
