Ingredients:
Agar-Agar (China grass) 2 oz
Almonds (ground) 1 oz
Almonds (blanched and halved) 1 oz
Milk 1 pint
Caster Sugar 4 oz
Method:
In a pan, pour milk, sugar and ground almonds. Cook for 3 minutes. Stir continuo
usly.
Add Agar-Agar, stir until it is dissolved. Simultaneously, add chopped almonds,
mix well.
Pour into a 1-2 inches deep dish. Refrigerate until set.
Serve chilled cut into squares.
*If Agar-Agar not available, Gelatin can be substituted.
Egg Fu Yung
This is a special Chinese omelet which can be stuffed with variety of vegetables
. This is
ideal recipe for a brunch.
Serves 2-3
Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
Ingredients:
Egg (lightly beaten) 6
Soya Sauce 1-1/2 tbsp
Scallions (finely chopped) 4 oz
Salt tsp
Black pepper powder tsp
Cooking oil 3 tbsp
Bean sprouts 4 oz
Method:
Mix the beaten eggs with soya sauce, salt pepper and scallions. Set it aside.
Now heat oil in a wok and stir fry bean sprout for about a minute.
Pour in the beaten egg mixture; let it cooked on a medium flame. Then turn the s
ide
upside down to make it cooked on both the sides.
Cut into wedges and serve immediately or while serving you can scramble it.
It can be served as a side dish or a snack.
