Rock Name
Genesis
: Quartz sandstone ( Quartz Arenite ) , out of all the sandstone this one has
been transported fastest. Usually consisting of > 90 % quartz since that is
the most abundant mineral on earth and it is harder than all the other
common minerals. Typically this roch forms beaches or dessert where
quartz sand is abundant. The farther off shore you go the smaller the sand
in the sandstone.
2. Red Limestone
Rock Number
: III 10
Colour
: Scarlet
Structure
: Goode
Texture
: Crystalline limestone
Mineralogy
Kind of Rock
Rock Name
: Red Limestone
Genesis
: Red limestone rocks are sedimentary rocks that are made from the
mineral calcite which came from the beds of evaporated seas and lakes
and from sea animal shelss. This rock is used in concrete and is excellent
building store for humid region. Hematite has been considered as the most
common stain to importared colour to rocks. The morphology and
distribution of hematite in both red and white limestone from the vispi
quarry section, central Italy, were carefully unvestigated using high
resolution transmission electron microscopy and selected area electron
diffraction.

Kind of Rock
: Clastic Sediment
Rock Name
Genesis
: Coarse stand stone forms when sand layers are buried under sediments.
Ground water that moves through the sand layers carries dissolved
mineralized which precipitates over time to bind individual sand grains
into solid rock. The most common binding agents in sandstone are quartz,
calcite and iron oxides. Coarse sandstone ( sedimentary rock composed of
cemented grain 0.06 2 milimeters / 0.0024 0.08 inch , in diameters )

5.Nama Batuan
: Batuan Basalt
6.Jenis Batuan
: Beku Basa
7.Genesa

7. Batu Gneiss
Rock Number
:4
Colour
: Gray
Structure
Texture
: crystobalstic ( Lapidoblastic )
Mineralogy
Kind of Rock
: Metamorf Regional
Rock Name
: Quartz Gneiss
Genesis
: Gneiss is a high metamorphic rock. This means that gneiss has been
subjected to more heat and pressure than schist. Gneiss is coarser than
schist and has distinct banding. This banding has alternating layers that are
composed of different minerals. The minerals that compose gneiss are the
same as granite. Feldspar is the most important mineral that make up
gneiss along with mica and quartz. Gneiss can be formed a sedimentary
rock such as sandstone or shale, or it can be formed from the
metamorphism of igneous rock granite
