Dear Mark
We write to introduce you to, Aardvark Site Investigations Limited.
We operate from the home counties and cover the whole of the UK. All our on-site technicians are very
experienced in working on a variety of sites for many different customer requirements.
We are now operating three different rigs to achieve the best results on any site :a)

A Terrier Rig a large tracked rig for easy access sites (diesel powered).

b)

A Limited Access Rig this is for the harder to reach sites where sampling
and strength readings are required (petrol powered).

c)

T13 Dynamic Probe a small dcp for taking strength readings of the soil, this is
mainly used on the limited access, high volume projects.

Borehole logs and reports are produced by our offices in St Albans and all enquiries should be made to :01727 827 375 or info@aardvarksi.com. Our drillers are PTS certified with some holding IWA
accreditation.
Our services include:A.

Subsidence Investigations.
Water Table Monitoring.
Methane Monitoring.

Limited Access Rig

for light (DP-L), medium (DP-M) and heavy
(DP-H) dynamic sounding with Honda engine.
This unit is powered by a reliable 4-stroke
petrol engine which transmits ist revolutions
through a centrifugal clutch and a robust
gearbox to the rotating chain integrated in the
mast body. Thus the unit is independent from
other energy sources and can be operated
everywhere. The number of blows per minute
(between 15 and 30) is controlled by adjusting
the engine speed at the throttle lever.

T13 DYNAMIC PROBE

An extremely versatile dcp which can be used
anywhere.
Specification:
Height:
Width:
Weight:
Drop:

max 1.8m
0.4m
10kg
0.5m

Manufactured in hardened steel, this light

versatile rig packs into 2 rucksacks (or a
wheelbarrow) to allow dcp testing in the most
inaccessible locations.

This rig pushes a sacrificial nose-cone into the

ground to measure the resistance/strength. These
measurements can then be interpreted to SPTs.
The T13 provides a quick reliable solution for the
limited access, high volume projects where
sampling is not required.
