Activity Valentines Day

Nicoleta: Hello dear teachers.
Vlad: We are pleased to see you here today, together with the pupils from the
Gymnasium Vasile Alecsandri.
Nicoleta: The occasion for which we are all here today is very special and
expected by everyone.
Vlad: Well try to keep your good mood with an activity called Valentines
Day.
Nicoleta: Because we have mentioned about it, I would like to tell you the history
of this holiday.
Vlad: I think in this day a lot of couples fall in love...
Nicoleta: This holiday has a special legend. It is mentioned that in the IInd IVth
centuries one of the Romans kings forbade to his soldiers to marry to avoid the
demoralization. But, there was a savior the priest Valentin, who married secretly
people who were in love. Priests boldness was judged severe and he was killed on
the 14th of February.
Vlad: However, I think that it isnt fair.
Nicoleta: Why do you think so?
Vlad: The priest died, but everyone now is happy, is dancing and is making gifts...
Nicoleta: Anyway, this holiday is known by everybody on the Earth.
Vlad: Yes, and everybody celebrates in different ways. For example, in Czech
Republic are organized carnivals and competitions. In Germany, girls use to wear
red clothes and boys white, as a symbol of love and purity.
And through a song we can formalize the beginning of the celebration.

Nicoleta: Nicholas Sparks said that
Love is like the wind, you can't see it but you can feel it.
Vlad: Nicoleta, do you remember your first love?
Nicoleta: Sure, I will never forget it!!! It was love at first sight, at last sight, at ever
and ever sight.
Vlad: Lets see how often does Cinderella remember her first love.
(Act play Cinderella)

Nicoleta: Dante Alighieri said that Love moves the sun and the stars
Vlad: Yes, love moves teachers and parents.
Nicoleta: What do you know about LOVE?
Vlad: Well see immediately what does Alina know about love. (Song )
Nicoleta: Valentines Day is the day when spring begins, it is a day dedicated to
love and fertility. Therefore it is called and "Head spring".
Vlad: Valentine is a similar character, often associated with Eros or Cupid. And it
is said that those who do not celebrate Valentines Day will not get love during the
year, and one who does will love all year.
Nicoleta: But I want a love like of Romeo and Juliet.
Vlad: How?
Nicoleta: Lets see. (Act play Romeo and Juliet)
Vlad: Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual
confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It
settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.
Nicoleta: Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your
own. Vlad do you believe in love? What is love for you?
Vlad: I think that our colleague will sing about it.
Now lets listen a song about love. (Song Doina)
Vlad: I think that now I understood the real meaning of the word LOVE. Nicoleta,
could you keep a secret?
Nicoleta: Sure... Tell me!
Vlad: You will not tell it to anyone?
Nicoleta: No, Ill keep it!!! Be sure!
Vlad: Ok... I think that Im in love... I love a beautiful girl, but I dont know her
name, but all name her Beauty.

Nicoleta: You should know, that the best gift for your beloved people would be a
poem created with a lot of love and affection.
Vlad: (Poem Happy Valentines Day.)
Nicoleta: Thank you who were here with us in this day... We say thank you for
patience and appreciation, we say thank you to our classmates for their
collaboration, we say a big thank you to the English teacher for their patience,
ingenuity, vast knowledge and support.
Vlad: We thank the participants for their intelligence, ingenuity, courage and
creativity... Be always loved, and adored and expected. Because love make two
hearts one. Happy Valentines Day.
