STATEMENT OF PROBLEMThe Industrialization of the society, the introduction of motorized vehicle, and the
explosion of the human population, however, have caused an exponential growth in
the production of goods and services. Coupled with this growth has been a
tremendous increase in waste by-products. The indiscriminate discharge of untreated
industrial and domestic wastes into waterways, the spewing of thousand of tons of
particulates and airborne gases into the atmosphere, the throwaway attitude towards
solid waste, and the use of newly developed chemicals without considering potential
consequences have resulted in major environmental disasters.
The urbanization, and unsustainable agriculture practices of human society is having a
serious effect on the environment. There is increase in temperature due to man-made
activities which leads to climatic change and loss of biodiversity resulting in reduced
variety of genetic strains, species and ecosystems, depletion and extinction of species
etc. Increasing rate of soil degradation and desertification as well as air and water
pollution, increase in green house gases that are expected to lead to an increase in the
global temperature possess a great threat to human existence.. This means that unless
efforts are made to care for the environment, the human species may suffer to an
extent that other species already have suffered.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS:
Q.1 what is the present scenario of environmental hazards in India?
Q.2 what are the cause of environmental hazards?
Q.3 what are the steps that need to be taken for solving the environmental pollution
in India?
RESEARCH METHODOLOGYa) Visiting the garbage disposable centers and observing the condition prevalent
over there.
b) Coverage: A search was made on internet for articles and related matter on
Environmental hazards in India. Newspaper articles and magazines were also
taken for reference. Several books reference was also sought.
IMPLICATIONThe paper also documents the continuing gap between environmental policies and
their realization within actual projects; the importance of timely environmental input
to sensible natural resources project development; the vulnerability of protected areas'
to natural resources development and the need for protect areas. And further we need
to combat global environmental problems and climate change this project can take
into consideration in policy making issues.
SUMMARY OF THE PROJECTConditions in the environment that have a negative impact on the health and wellbeing of a population are known as environmental hazards. Weather pattern that
causes a drought or flood; or a sudden, violent disaster such as an earthquake or
volcanic eruption. Environmental hazards can also be man-made problems such as air
and water pollution, chemical toxicity, or a poor use of resources that brings about
